I understand from my investigations of military life that when my husband deploys (he's still in training but I know its inevitable) that the family readiness group composed of spouses at the base will support the soldiers' spouses in different ways. Unfortunately, I will have to remain at home because of having a newborn to take care of, and having emotional and financial support from my family and my parents in law. That means I am planning to use the money he earns (with his consent of course!!) to go to him now and then until he leaves for 15 months, stay in lodging on the Army Post, and "play" family for a week or so at a time, then return home. Also do they have a way to offer support and counseling groups if you are in a different State? I think I will need it. Also what's it like not to see your husband for 15 months and then he returns? I love him sooo much but its almost like we would be starting all over again. Our baby would be a toddler. He won't know his daddy.

The tape clearly show's guards beating and kicking a 14 year old black child in a Boot Camp" correctional setting" in Florida who is then dragged around the compound like a animal, while other guards and a nurse walk around watching this incident with approval. The child was being assaulted by several of the guards who slam him to the ground, kick him, punch him and bend his arms behind his back with such force, he is screaming in pain crying out for help. How can any person in such a care and control capacity be found innocent of causing the needless death after watching the film of this incident? I have not seen anything along these lines since I was stationed in Germany and visited the former Nazi concentration camp Dachau, where it show's actual footage of the camp confiscated from the Nazi SS during it's duration in a Movie Theater when you first enter, as it is a museum. The Nazi's were kicking and punching victim's, much the same way this 14 year old black child was assaulted!

Hello My husband is in the Military and he is going to be stationed in Korea. But what I want to know is Do I have to pay for the processing fee for my son and I to get our visa on our passports. Correct me if im wrong , but I heards that I would'nt have to pay for the processing fee for my son and I to get a visa, because my husband is Active duty and in the military. And I did read on the visa application that I did not have to pay, for the processing fee only the shipping and handeling fee to return our passports. Can someone help me with this. thank you and have a bless day. oh and he will be stationed in south korea.

What's with these crazed zealots on both sides of the aisle?

The article doesn't mention it (see link below), but these were Democrat staffers (they mentioned the party affiliation on the radio here in DC). My questions are:

What would have happened if these had been Republican staffers and they received the same immunizations before going on a visit to the 9th Ward in New Orleans? W

Why doesn't the article mention that they were Democrat Staffers (the local DC news mentions the party of the staffers)?

Does this say something about how the Democrats feel about Joe Twelve Pack?

One of the recommended immunizations was for diptheria, where do they think they were going, the third world?

Another was for Hepatitis B which is an STD or requires sharing of blood, what where these staffers going to be doing there?

"Four US house staffers were advised to receive immunizations before going to NASCAR races, leaving one representative asking why..."

Obama, noting that the vote to authorize the Iraq war came five years ago this week, said Democrats in Congress — including Clinton and Edwards, who was then a North Carolina senator — bear some responsibility for what's happened since.

Ann Coulter on CNBC Show: Jews Need 'Perfecting'

Published: October 11, 2007 12:15 AM ET updated 1:30 PM ET

NEW YORK Appearing on Donny Deutsch's CNBC show, "The Big Idea," on Monday night, columnist/author Ann Coulter suggested that the U.S. would be a better place if there weren't any Jewish people and that they needed to "perfect" themselves into -- Christians.

It led Deutsch to suggest that surely she couldn't mean that, and when she insisted she did, he said this sounded "anti-Semitic."

Turkey is an important strategic ally, especially while troops are in Iraq..

Gates said good relations with Turkey are vital because 70 percent of the air cargo intended for U.S. forces in Iraq and 30 percent of the fuel consumed by those forces flies through Turkey.

U.S. commanders, Gates said, "believe clearly that access to airfields and roads and so on in Turkey would very much be put at risk if this resolution passes and the Turks react as strongly as we believe they will."

Please dont tell they are pushing so hard to undermine our troops..

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: October 12, 2007
The Bush administration reported that the federal budget deficit fell to $162.8 billion in the budget year just ended, the lowest amount of red ink in five years. The administration credited the president’s tax cuts for helping generate record-breaking revenues but warned of an approaching “fiscal train wreck” unless Congress dealt with unsustainable growth in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid spending. The deficit for the 2007 budget year, which ended Sept. 30, was 34.4 percent lower than the $248.2 billion deficit recorded in 2006. It was $81 billion lower than the administration had projected in February.

Do you feel that medical records should be exposed for mental instability if in fact a teen is deemed "mentally unstable" by a doctor or that the Dr. should alert the school to "keep an eye" on any unusual behavior or what? And, how does this relate if the individual is in H.S. and about to turn 18? Any provoking thoughts on these issues? Serious & thoughtful responses please.

Is there a theory for challenging the language of a civil law in a situation where a) the alleged transgressor is clearly and provably a victim of circumstances 110% outside the realm of his control and b) ruling against the alleged transgressor would clearly violate the intent of the law? --Even if he finds himself "pushed" into the language by an outside force?

This clearly does not serve justice, and there must be an arguable theory somewhere. Thanks.

P.S. I suppose an example would be, you're supposedly at fault no matter what if you rear-end someone, but what if you're stopped in traffic on the freeway, and a truck hits YOU in the rear going 100 miles an hour so that you plow into the car in front of you. Letter of the law, vs. spirit of the law. That's what I'm looking for here. (This is *not* a situation such as I just described - it's much less serious.)

The law states that I have the right to defend myself and my property. Yet if a burglar breaks into my house and gets caught (by me) and we scuffle, he gets hurt, I get sued?! Or better still, the burglar breaks into my house, falls or trips on something and gets hurts, he can sue me?! He broke into my domicile, my castle, what the h*ll? How can the law actually protect ME (the victim in both cases) and not victimize me more? Someone please help me understand this!

Over the past couple of months Congress has:
1. Tried to legalize inllegal immigrants
2. Pushed for a "Fairness Doctrine"
3. Tried to condemn Rush Limbaugh
4.. Got involved in the Armenian Genocide problem

Read on Yahoo News this afternoon that now Congress is going to looking into the NFL injury problems.

What's wrong with these clowns? Can't they do anything constructive?

So what better post for him in Hillary's presidency than that of secretary of state!
