I see why people risk death to come here. If you have ever been to rural Mexico, you would see where these guys are coming from.
However, it is still illegal. And worse, they don't even try to fit in when they come. That sucks. I'm living in Mexico and it's cool. But I tell you, if I started flying the Stars and Stripes, the police would be all over me like flys on sh-t!

The majority of Americans believe immigration is the reason why this country has risen so quickly to be the dominant country on earth. America is based on the rule of law. Every legal resident is subject to the law whether he is the President or a bum and we have an elaborate system designed to allow immigrants to come to this country legally. People who willingly break our laws are criminals. Illegal aliens are criminals, they break many laws - not just immigration law. Americans instinctively feel that they should be punished for breaking our laws. You can't pick and choose the laws you want to follow - you are expected to follow all of them or to change the ones you disagree with. I agree with most Americans on this issue. My wife and daughter spent years going through the legal process to immigrate to America. They could have come across a border in less than a week, but they chose to be good Americans - and they are.

Legal immigration is great.
ILLEGAL aliens are criminals for breaking our laws. Our borders MUST be secure. Our laws MUST be enforced. Employers should be in prison. Illegals should leave YESTERDAY!. They have no rights here. We are sick of their in-your-face attitude and their demand for rights.
They are of no financial benefit to our economy since taxpayers must pay billions to take care of the. The steal jobs Americans want. They steal IDs. There is a huge increase in gangs, drugs and crime because of the illegals. They are destroying our health care system since ERs have to close. They destroy our schools. They bring diseases with them.
I see absolutely nothing positive about the 30+ million illegal alien criminals that are here breaking our laws!

Why should American taxpayers support the illegals who come over and set up camp to have anchor babies, use our social services, put their non-English speaking kids into our schools (free!) to slow our kids down, crowd our freeways, litter our parks, take service jobs that teens or the unemployed can have, increase our crime rates, and treat our country as if we owe them something?
No other country makes American citizens out of the offspring of two illegals. That and the jobs that they are offered are what bring millions of illegals to our country.
It's time American taxpayers SCREAM at their complacent senators and do so with enough force that our laws are finally changed.
Most Senators are OK with illegals because they get paid by big business and the Agriculture industry to allow them to come here and work for peanuts, and they also think that the largely hispanic illegal population will vote Democratically. They don't have to live down here with the crowded, lower-class conditions they create-- they live in gated communities and are unaffected by their votes to allow illegals the same rights American citizens have.
Sorry that they live in squalor in their own countries, but we simply cannot bring the whole 3rd world to the U.S. and support them without obliterating our own lifestyles and sinking the entire lifeboat (us included). AMERICANS NEED TO WAKE UP AND PROTEST.
If you're FOR illegals or increased immigration you should take in an illegal family or two and personally pay for their housing, social services and schooling and quit sticking the rest of us with this bill.

I think that we are letting too many people in this country. It's pretty sad when our own elderly are not getting enough to eat and we choose to feed those whom we have no obligation to help. I firmly believe that we need to take care of our own citizens first and then help others. We're taking on too much and soon our own reserves will be depleted and we wont be able to help anyone. I live in TX and I see how our economy is so negative effected. I also hate how many of these immigrants disrespect America and think they can come in here and force their culture and language on us. I myself come from Mexican background but my family had the respect enough to come in legally and learn English.

I believe they should (USA) expand the guest worker program and improve the monitoring system, perhaps temp work visas double as debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, whatever, something traceable.
Secure the borders and get rid of the criminals and freeloaders.
Work to eliminate racist program funding, including la raza and print and furnish all those that want aztlan back with maps to aztlan, which it in Mexico, in the state of Nayarit, called Mexcaltitlan now, about 50 clicks from San Blas.
