Can someone tell me please who I need to contact to report someone that is abusing welfare (ebt/foodstamp) benefits? This individual is still receiving benefits from the state of Missouri, and has been living and also receiving benefits from the state of Tennessee for about four months now at least. Who do I call or contact in order to end this. Have no issue with someone receiving benefits, if truely need them, but have issue with fraudulently obtaining them and abusing the system like this and when they have no desire to do anything to change their situation so not to need assistance anymore- only to continue to live off the system indefinitely. Thanks.

Last I looked it was Bush in charge the last 7 years, shouldn't he be somewhat responsible too?

If you ask me, it is both the Democrats and Republicans fault with Bush at the helm.

I have a friend who has served 15 years of a life sentence with no parole for a drug conviction. It was his first and only charge. Now days people get out of prison sooner for killing someone than for selling drugs. I am not saying he didn't deserve punishment, but I think his sentence is unfair and excessive. He was young and stupid then, thought he was untouchable... and now 15 years later, I think he's more than paid his debt to society.

Who do I write that can help him? Who can I write that would possibly take a look at his case? The attorney general, the governor? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why does a bank robber get a longer sentence then a murderer, child molestor or rapist? Why does some one who is convicted of stautory rape some times gets the same or a longer sentence then some one did agrivated rape? Why cant the worst crimes get the longest sentence and every sentence could be the same range for the same crime and higher crimes get the highest penalty.
Im starting to get sick of the fact that diffrent states have diffrent laws and the federal goverment had diffrent laws.I read about federalist and anti federalist.Im now starting to agree with federalist idea. also depends on the judge and the jury.I wish there were sentences that highesst range that the judge can give fits the crime not to long or to short. It also has to do with the over crowding of the prisons whitch wastes tax payers money. Why cant we leave the longest sentence go to the worst of the worst because i dont want my taxes to go to low risk offenders serving a life sentence i rather it be put on the bad

It seems that Rush has had more influence on society than 1000 Harry Reids will ever have.

On "Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace" Nancy Pelosi said "God's will be done". Does this mean the she believes that Homosexuality is an abomination? According to the Bible this is true. Or is she just lying to gain supportt from her base?

I appreciate the UK Armed Forces is another one of his toys - to be thrown out of his pram when he's riding high in the polls, or to be trashed when he's rattled... but please... does he think this media savvy public are as thick as 2 short planks... because THAT IS THE IMPRESSION HE IS GIVING OUT HERE with this new statement about one of his toys -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7034010.stm
QUOTE "British troop numbers in Iraq will be reduced to 2,500 next spring, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has told MPs."...

Why didn't he go on to say where they would be 2 weeks later?
OH.. I know.. cos it's another great sound-bite for him THEN when he stands on his soap box and states the under-resourced troops on the ground in AFGHANISTAN - the REAL source of this conflict - will be INCREASED by a further 2,500 WOOPY-DOOPY !!

Thanks to NEW Labour "open -govt-policy" the Public KNOW it takes months to work such logistics of re-deployment out...

I could be an aul' cynic but....

Once you go to court with NC Child Support Enforcement, and a judge has decided on a dollar amount for support, can it be appealed or do you have to wait for 3 years for it to come up for review again?

I don't want my tax money to go to paying for them. To the ridiculous argument that no one would do the work - I say how about all of the inmates? Why not put them out there and make them work to earn their keep? Let them dig ditches and pick fruit - it doesn't bother my sensibilities at all.

The United States is the most powerful nation in the world which often acts unilaterally . The US has 737 military bases and 2,500,000 U.S. personnel serving across the planet - but is it an Empire ? Some people insist that “ empire ” means only direct rule over large-scale conquered territory and the United States today looks decidedly imperial . The term empire has entered common usage , not only among critics but also among advocates of muscular US policy and global superiority . Economist Niall Ferguson has written about the British Empire as a lesson-book for contemporary US power . Influential Washington neo-conservatives are using the " E-word " freely , insisting that the United States is the world’s most benevolent nation and that it should use its imperial power robustly to expand " freedom " across the globe .

My Question - What limits will the U.S. empire encounter , can it sustain " full spectrum dominance " for the forseeable future or will it provoke such broad opposition that its era of hegemony and prosperity comes swiftly and decisively to a close ? You Decide .

Ok, here's the story...my father died earlier this year and his retirement account named my 88 year old grandfather as the beneficiary. Since the beginning he has promised me half of the money, and now since he got the check the total has come down to 85,000 (enough to pay off my house). Anyway, I got the check and deposited it in my bank and all of a sudden he wants the money back. It is already in my account and processed, what could he legally do to get the money back?

Here is my view. Before Rush made his "phony soldier" comment, ABC News did a story of people who pretend they are ex-soldiers. The reason most apparently do so now is to criticize the Iraq war effort from a supposed insider point of view.

In an aside to a caller, Rush used the same phrase ABC News did, phony soldiers. He was later taken to task by Senator Harry Reid on the Senate floor for attacking real soldiers.

Can you present evidence that Senator Reid was correct, without resorting to name calling, using a history of abuse of prescription drugs or divorces?

Assuming the faith healer did not tell the patient that praying for the patient has been proven to be detrimental.

They can sue doctors, why not faith healers? Faith healers claim they can heal the sick, but it's been proven they can't.

Here's a link to the story about how prayer is detrimental:

on a recent visit to Wales I had to pull over to ask directions, not realising that I had stopped on a bicycle lane with double yellow lines, I was only there a few seconds but as I pulled away I noticed a traffic warden walking down the road and as I passed him I noticed in my rear view mirror that he took out a note pad and started to jot something down,I can only assume that he wrote down my number,It has made me wonder if it is possible to have a fine sent through the post or do I have to be given a ticket on the spot

I have been reading the many opinions about illegal immigrants, and immigration in general. It is obviously a subject that Americans are very passionate about, no matter what side they are on. I personally feel there should be punishment as well as compromise, a tighter border as well as a reform for those that are already here, but my opinion is besides the point. Some of the people on here are not only against illegal immigration, but seem to be against each specific immigrant, in a very disturbing and hateful way. This makes me wonder if you have been victimized in some way by an illegal alien. Please tell me specifically what injustice you, (specifically you) have suffered at the hands of an illegal alien. Please don’t use the argument that they don’t pay taxes, or they receive welfare because I am looking for personal experiences. Also, if you have been violated in some way by an illegal immigrant, have you ever been violated in the same way by an American Citizen - or is it possible to be violated the same way by an American Citizen? Trying to find a reason for the madness
