We destroyed their government, right or wrong, and now we are obligated to repair it, or at least stabilize it so that we can leave.

The Kurds just opened 5 closed border stations between Iraq & Iran. Yahoo had it on the home page. They don't seem to care.
The Governor of Baghdad was shot at? Blackwater saved him...

But we put this Embassy in there? The biggest in the region. And it is the region that is the problem.

Until the President says thank you we can do this on our own we have the commitment. Speaker Pelosi said this weekend she talked to him on a visit to the US and he is feeling end of next year too. Who elected her UN ambassador anyway?

Just cause? In my opinion, it's weakening. Why be there if even the Kurds who we helped for years defy US??? wtfrick?
BUT we need to be somewhere over there. Iran is swiftly taking control and that is no good at all. Thanks.

It does not matter if there is just cause. The reason for the invasion/occupation of this country was for strategic military placement. This has been achieved and they have no intention of leaving.

The government is weak, at best. The military/police force is even worse. If we leave, the country will fall into anarchy. Since we caused it, we have an obligation to stay and fix our own mistakes.

We may not had just cause to invade, but we have an obligation to put that country back together in the aftermath of Saddam falling.
