I appreciate the UK Armed Forces is another one of his toys - to be thrown out of his pram when he's riding high in the polls, or to be trashed when he's rattled... but please... does he think this media savvy public are as thick as 2 short planks... because THAT IS THE IMPRESSION HE IS GIVING OUT HERE with this new statement about one of his toys -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7034010.stm
QUOTE "British troop numbers in Iraq will be reduced to 2,500 next spring, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has told MPs."...
Why didn't he go on to say where they would be 2 weeks later?
OH.. I know.. cos it's another great sound-bite for him THEN when he stands on his soap box and states the under-resourced troops on the ground in AFGHANISTAN - the REAL source of this conflict - will be INCREASED by a further 2,500 WOOPY-DOOPY !!
Thanks to NEW Labour "open -govt-policy" the Public KNOW it takes months to work such logistics of re-deployment out...
I could be an aul' cynic but....

When I first heard Brown talk about troop reductions in Iraq,
my first thought was, "How long will they have in the UK, before he re-deploys them to Afghanistan?".
This guy has no conscience and no shame and sees the
British public (Particularly the English) as fodder to his ambition.
You can now understand why Blair kept him away from the
PM's job, for as long as possible.
I do believe that the electorate has had enough of the spin and outright lies, that has been the hallmark of this government for the last 10 years. A few trusting souls thought that Brown might be different, but they now know the truth.
Roll on the next election and a change of government.

No he doesn't care, otherwise we would be fighting a totally different kind of war over there. He wants casualties and bodies so that the media will Bleat out it's terrifying message and more people see it as an un-winnable war and fear breeds hysteria and in no time at all it's " Bring back the battered troops.." defeated by an enemy that the could have crushed. Do not worry about the Soldiers that have been killed because with all of the troops in operation, it is but a small fraction of the Active Fighting Force and anyway those Guys went straight to heaven for their courage and Bravery. Do not be fooled by this underhanded government, to send our Boys to a humiliating defeat and withdrawal from Afghanistan, is well within their agenda, because if our army is defeated there, then we will be defeated here and at the mercy of the European Autocracy.

Well the more he is rattled the less likely he is to give us a chance to throw him and his lying party out of government. I hope that the electorate will remember that it was him, Brown, who introduced all those stealth taxes when he eventually has to come back to the country. I only hope that he has not screwed up the countries finances totally by that time.
