Why does everyone here talk about legals being OK, illegals not?. A piece of paper doesn't change their origins just as a leopard doesn't change it's spots. My friend for instance dislikes all immigrants, even his own immigrant relatives. He says they never truly fit in and force their backwards cultures on everyone. What do you think?

That is, do you vote for the candidate you think will be most able to win against the other major party, or do you see it as an opportunity to tell your own party who you think would be the best president? Don't you think it's necessary to tell the party leaders who should represent you, and not just go with the odds as perceived by the mass media?

Since I'm a Libertarian, I plan to vote for Ron Paul for the Republican nomination in the primary. I think he's the only one who can successfully distance the Republicans from the dismal Bush record.

My cousin is in the Marines. I hardly know this cousin, as we are different in age and I hardly saw him growing up. He was nothing but a smart mouth, lazy person before he entered the Marines, and I wouldn't be surprised if he entered it think it would be an easy paycheck. He met a young 18 yr. old girl after bootcamp, got her pregnant and they got married. I heard from relatives all the hateful, nasty things he was saying about his pregnant wife, including how he was going to find him another woman. He was at a family reunion recently, and considering that I personally have always thought he was a punk, I didn't have much to do with him. He was heard by my aunt saying that he was being sent to Iraq, and how he couldn't wait to get over there and kill some people without getting in trouble. My family was disgusted that he was saying this. I got an email from him afterwards, cusing me out for not showing him love or concern that he was going to Iraq. What kind of soldier is this?

I'm in the DEP and will be going into the USAF in January. Tedious story made short, a customer of mine is in the USAF and went in initially as a linguist and said that the DLI was super hard and that a lot of people don't make it and end up switching their job. I mean, it's what I want to do and I don't mind a challenge. I'm just curious.

I heard a story of a man working at my workplace before I got there. He quit his job because 'they' were taking out too much money for his 5 illegitimate children. The sad thing was, they weren't his children.
Apparently, he was using someone else identity to get a job, turns out the persons identity he stole or bought was really behind on his child support!
Could this guy who is here illegally possibly sue the person he got the identity from for selling him a 'bad' identity? Or sue the guy who got credit from his contributions toward the child support?

Do you think it is fair that the American government wants to stop countries like Iran and North Korea from developing nuclear weapons? There are about twelve or so countries in the world with nuclear weapons. The USA is one of these countries, and is also the only one that has actually used them in war. Generally these countries don’t argue that as a point, when confronted about WMD. More often they claim their nuclear programs are for peaceful intentions, such as providing power and what not or they are secretive about the issue as if they are going to get caught by “Daddy” doing something they are not meant to be doing. Don't get me wrong I don’t really want these or any country for that matter, to have these weapons but they exist, doesn’t the whole thing seem like a double standard? I just find it a little odd don’t you?

This from the same man who calls suicide bombers, "Freedom Fighters"....

"There is a legal definition of genocide and Darfur does not meet that legal standard. The atrocities were horrible but I don't think it qualifies to be called genocide," he said. Washington is almost alone in branding the 4 1/2 years of violence in Darfur genocide. Khartoum rejects the term, European governments are reluctant to use it and a U.N.-appointed commission of inquiry found no genocide, but that some individuals may have acted with genocidal intent. Carter, whose charitable foundation, the Carter Center, worked to establish the International Criminal Court (ICC), said: "If you read the law textbooks ... you'll see very clearly that it's not genocide and to call it genocide falsely just to exaggerate a horrible situation I don't think it helps."

It's rather funny in a sick perverted sort of way reading this interview. Someone please tell me the oil industry from OPEC to America isn't chock full of crooks making billions on us. For almost thirty five years basically nothing has been done to either build new refineries to increase supply or to decrease demand by creating other forms of energy for our society that are more earth friendly. It's all about the money. With billions in profit, that's a lot of incentive for dubious business practices. Is the oil industry manipulated or does supply and demand create the business environment. Hope you take the time to read the interview.
