The media is well known at distorting facts! Don't believe everything you read.

War isn't pretty.

Definitely "No" to your question. I don't even care for the man but you are dead wrong on this issue.

It's fascinating that you only hear the term "war crime" in connection with actions of the current American administration these days, and never is it suggested that it might be a war crime to have any involvement in beheadings or random bombings of women and children, or kidnapping of journalists.

It seems to be a war crime to believe intelligence that the popular media doesn't believe, but it's not a crime to kill an innocent person trying to build a school or a water purification system. It's a war crime to interrogate people captured on a battlefield, but there's no suggestion that a pile of bodies of policemen who have had their hands bound behind them before being shot in the head might be evidence of a war crime.

You can't blame Powell for not understanding the rules nowadays. They're pretty confusing for most people who don't understand that they only apply to non-muslims.

Yes. At first I was going to say no because blame stops at the top; but after thinking on this, why should the USA be any different than other countries that have committed similar crimes... throughout history, the Generals are normally charged also.
