Actually, there were a lot of jobs created recently.
I read about this on several different financial sites - newsletters this week, not from the president. It's just plain truth.
I do not know of anyone here in AZ without work and in 7 years I have not met anyone here who could not quickly get a job. In fact our unemployment is under 2 percent, that's why so many illegals come here to work, even the day laborers are making money and picking up work steadily.
However, it does keep the wages here pretty low.

Out of all the people the people working 2 million out of work is basically full employment. I believe the unemployment rate is under 2.5%.

There is an old political line. The economy stupid. When the economy is good, people working, the status quo goes on. When the economy is bad, people not working, resession, depression, and government handouts.

The government statistics show 110,000 new jobs were created this month. They revised last month's figures from a minus 70,000 to a plus 110,000. That means about 150 million people are working.
Who says the federal government has to provide jobs for everyone? 4.5% of 150 million means the statistical unemployment is 6.75 million.
We have the best economy ever in the US and you are looking to find fault?

We have virtually low unemployment around 4.5%. The problem with the new jobs are they are low paying jobs. The real problem is our dollar is worth about 70% of what it was 6 years ago.

We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in history. But that goes only for those who don't go through the day stoned out of their minds like so many liberals. These types always will have a high unemployment rate.

What is the unemployment rate, oh deep thinker? I think a little research will show that it is very low, and under Bush has often been lower that it was under Clinton.

It's nice that President Bush has created an environment to encourage investment and more jobs...but it is not the responsibility of the government to provide you jobs.
So go find a job, or create one.
