Bush says that the moveon ad was "irritating" to the troops. Do you think they are more irritated by Bush denying them a meager 3.5% pay raise and threatening to veto legislation which would allow service members to be guaranteed a year home between assignments in war zones (http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/news/); failing to fund health benefits for returning soldiers (According to the Bush Administration’s Secretary of Veterans Affairs, his department failed to budget for 77,000 new veterans entering the VA medical system. (Testimony of Secretary of Veterans Affairs before Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, 6/28/05)); failing to provide adequate equipment to soldiers in combat (A Pentagon study suggests 80 percent of Marine fatalities caused by bullet wounds to the torso were likely preventable. (New York Times, 1/6/06) ) . . . I could go on but space is limited. Who REALLY supports our troops?

I was given a formal police warning for shoplifting something worth £4 from a large department store. Although this matter is now over with in court, I am been chased by a debt collection agency say that owing to "civil recovery" coming from the department store I now owe £240. Surely this can not be right, and can not be real law. Are they being criminal to harrass me into paying this huge amount of money. Please help.

Is it also acceptable for Christians to beat Italians whenever they see a bon-fire? Nero burnt them right? How long until we drop symbols that are attached to a grudge?

Let's face it; you have a choice to not go to a place that allows smoking.

I can see not allowing smoking in government buildings or other places that everyone has to use and thus those places should be smoke free.

Why ban places that smokers can go?

First, this is not an attack on liberals, I just dont understand how these two ideas can both be correct.
Ok, most liberals that I talk to believe two ideas that I find incompatable I was wondering if it could be explained to me. First, they believe that Moore was right about Bush having a cozy relationship with the Saudi's. Thats idea one. Yet, they also believe that the war in Iraq is about getting cheap oil for the U.S. If Bush was really in league with the Saudi's, wouldn't he avoid doing something that would give America more oil, that didn't come from Saudi Arabia? Therefore one of those ideas has to be incorrect for the other one to be correct. Please explain to me how both of these ideas can be correct.

Ok I failed the driving test but I have a question. On the driving test I had to be able to back into a parking space. My question is, Do people in other states or even towns have to do this, and if so why do you have to be able to do something I always thought was dangerous to do.

it is known that on the fateful day of 11 september, 2001, not a single jew, working in the twin towers, came to work. also president bush says he had been getting threatning calls about the incident to happen. looking at the way america got into this whole business of 'WAR AGAINST TERRORISM" , making which an excuse it did not spare a thought before bombing afghanistan and iraq, could'nt it be possible that it was well planned move to start this fake war to take on it's most competent enemy in the world, muslims.

1-Probably not.
2-Definetly not.

Nowadays no one compalins about the sale of condoms at the supermarket. You can buy what you need for a romatic dinner and what you need for afterwards. One stop shopping!

The abortion "issue" started with with screamers on the pulpit with a morbid fascination and scare tatics to hide the skeletons in their closets of why the became preachers in the first place.

And too many "save the babies" types are murderous elsewhere. Coinsidence?

The paragraph states....

Quite a while before the significance of morality and values as a dividing line within the American polity became a standard line of analysis by political scientits and commentators, John White had already spotted it. The "Values Divide" began decades ago, based on issues that had not yet entered the political arena directly. White discusses clashing views on the family, on marriage, on church attendance, on lifestyles. The way that public officials from both political parties have reacted to the struggle over values is significant for political discourse in america. Instead of looking for middle ground, white observes, most politicians have fled to the extremes where the democrats and republicans find themselves most at odds with one another.
