I'm going into the Navy to be a Rescue Swimmer, but my recruiter is confusing me as to how it works. As far as I understand, I go to bootcamp, then Naval Aircrewman Candidate School, then A school for rescue swimmers. Is this correct?

If we stay in we lose our identity and our freedom.

We become zones in a massive superstate, But if we pulled out what would be the choices for us?

I was wondering about what the FBI, CIA, Marines, whoever, uses as their primary sidearm(s). I figure that'd be a pretty good endorsement and I'm sort of shopping.

If you are, I really need your opinion of an idea I've had for a little while.

It seems others are coming along with this. Frankly, I hope you do too.

But most importantly, I'm hoping to gather the opinions of others in general...both pro and con.

I'll treat even my dissenters with respect (as long as they're not abusive. Fair?).

Go here first and read the simple idea I have: http://www.blogcharm.com/nostate
and then come back here and speak your mind.

Hey thanks!

And this is after the person who is being ratted out has done something which makes Bush angry? Why doesn't she just give the FULL list to the news agencies and be done with it?

I personally think that it is disgusting that they are holding 'stuff' over people's heads, and the second they step out of line they get ratted out.

Time and again we see nations encroaching, fighting, lying, denying and doing things which would be called unethical and immoral in our day to day lives.

I quote an example, “Between 1945 and 2005 the United States has attempted to overthrow more than 40 foreign governments, and to crush more than 30 populist-nationalist movements struggling against intolerable regimes... In the process, the U.S. caused the end of life for several million people, and condemned many millions more to a life of agony and despair.”

US is not the only nation to do this, but is the most recent and brazen example of this behaviour.

How many of you think that any action, be it immoral or unethical, is justified to further one's national interest? Or should we judge a country's collective actions within the same parameters as we would judge individual actions?

I find it very interesting that Senator Vitter was exposed by the DC Madam less then 3 weeks after he spoke out against the amnesty bill and stated that giving amnesty to illegals would hurt the American worker. He stood up against big buisiness and stoop up FOR AMERICA! He refused to stand by Bush.

DHL delivered four 40lb boxes to my apartment yesterday. They are tires that are for my boyfriends new car, however, he's out of town. So it starts off that I head down the stairs and out the building front door. The first thing the young guy says to me is "I have tires." I looked at him a bit confused and taken aback. Deciding he wanted to know where to put them I quickly selected a place on the ground. Once down, we realized the door to the building wouldn't close. So he threw them inside in a stack. I asked him how much they weighed as I had been informed by my boyfriend that they would weigh 20lbs but they appeared much heavier. Together we looked and saw that each box weighed 40lbs. I made a comment of surprise, the man stood up, looked at me and said "You look like a tough girl" and walked away, leaving me standing there flabbergasted; Standing less than 5 feet tall I look anything but tough. These are $1200 tires so I couldn't risk the theft. Continued below

You say George W. Bush is 'Corrupt' and has done 'ILLEGAL' things while President. This is LAUGHABLE! How do I know?

1. The Democrats who control Congress don't think so. If they did, they have the power to impeach or at least make Bush testify. They Won't. Please Explain?

2. We have a FREE press in this country. Please tell me what reputable NEWPAPER editorial board has made the case for IMPEACHMENT? There are NONE. Why?

Why don't IMPORTANT people take your BASELESS acustions seriously? Because you are FULL of HOT air?

(I have posted on my 360 blog why Bush is a GREAT man and you LIBS are outvoted there to.)

According to International Maritime Law, States that have a maritime coastline each have a buffer zone around their respective countries which allows them to claim any island (inhabited or uninhabited) and any thing else which lies in that buffer. For example, if the buffer zone was let's say 50 miles, this means that any island that is within 50 miles of the Brazilian coastline is the property of the Brazilian government. What I want to know is what exactly is the buffer zones of states according to international law.

Does anybody know what is the exact number of miles or kilometres that make up maritime buffer zones according to international law?

Me and my cousin are enlisting into the marines after highschool. My friend says he's gonna do it to. The truth is... He is over-weight. Plays too many video games and eats very unhealthy. Right now I'm trying to help him get in shape and eat healthier. The problem is, that he is very lazy. Right now, I'm trying to get him to run at least 2 miles with me. When I ask him, he says "No man, I'm good."......when he's not obviously.
I get mad at him sometimes because it seems like he his destroying his body with too much sleep and unhealthy foods. We have 3 years before me and my cousin enlist. Do you think my friend can even make it to basic training?

Is the fox-spin really that good?

I mean, how many times do we have to hear quips blaming him for everything from masterminding 9/11 to violating that sweet little innocent Monica, to stealing furniture from the whitehouse?

I guess the people throwing these accusations around are just not educated enough to name a Democrat who is currently on CSPAN?
