I am a junior in college, and have a question regarding an argument/research paper i need to write. My topic is: Should mandatory and/or voluntary prayer be permitted in public schools? My possible thesis statement is: Private voluntary prayer should be allowed in public schools.

WHAT are some points/arguments I could make in the paper about this topic? One I have so far is common misconceptions about school prayer, and I was going to talk about the legal aspect of it too. I need quite a few things to talk about because this paper needs to be at least 8 pages. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm interested in hearing from our military on this one...

How do military people view non-military people (such as myself) who spoke out against this Iraq war - from the very beginning - because we feel it is not the duty of the United States of America to engage in "nation building", nor worthy of their sacrifice to send our troops into a foreign land with an unclear and constantly shifting strategy?

After reading a great deal about this war, I have come to the conclusion (only my opinion) that our troops ARE tactically superior in the field, but that the "big picture" strategy has been missing since the beginning of the war...and it may be too late to win over the Iraqi people, rendering our efforts and expenditures useless.

i saw in the news that Arnold Schwarzenegger was goin to try to run for president. while he was put down, it is beyond me why some people think it was a good idea. isnt the point of that rule to make sure that an AMERICAN can only be the president, or are we so concerned with pleasing immagrants that were gonna let them run the country. (this aint a shot at arnie so i don wanna hear it)

I'm from Texas and I used to side with Republicans on most issues. Then, Bush was elected president and I thought he would do a lot of good and make me proud he was from my state. But, he's really let me down. Instead of hunting down Osama, we're bogged down in Iraq. Now, I mostly side with Democrats, except on a few issues, like gun control. Did you ever side with one political party, then switch to another?

Case in point, Barry Bonds's steroid abuse (BALCO screwed him over) and Michael Vick's dog fighting ring (with video footage of the events). I don't see why some people say one's "innocent until proven guilty" when there's much evidence that proves them to be guilty without a doubt. I mean, how can a judge be dumb enough to see amounts of evidence against a defendant and let him go? Sure the system has its flaws, but it should get it right once and a while!

And don't get me started on that one NBA ref who bet on games!

The actual immigration laws in the US and the people who apply them are acting like an american Gestapo, deporting parents to their country of origin and leaving their children behind to stand alone, sometimes defenseless and in danger.
Is the US a real democratic country, or is it nothing but a racist, narrowminded and ignorant piece of land with people who don't know or tend to forget that this country has been made into an empire thanks to the work and the immigration of people from countries all over the world, for more than 300 hundred years now (sorry for the generalization)?. The US wouldn't be what it is right now, if it hadn't been for the milenary effort of people from the rest of the world.

I'm not asking this in a bad way, but I am really curious about how many will vote, just to say, that America has its first black president?
I hope either Obama or Clinton wins the presidency

Even if you take everything he said at face value (even in light of the fact that other credible people testified in complete opposition of his testimony and basically called his testimony perjury) ......leaving all of that aside....don't you still feel because of his direct testimony he is very incompetent?!?!

He doesn't seem to have a very solid handle with what goes on in his own office and why.

Shouldn't the Attorney General of the United States have total control of the very important decisions that are made on behalf of his office?!?!?

Many of his fellow Republicans are losing faith in his abilities!

Do you think he should resign his office?

Saudi Arabia - It has oil - it is a dictatorship - no threats of democracy or freedom for them

North Korea - No oil - no thoughts of freedom and demoracy there -

China - no threats of anything for them - no freedom coming soon to China -

There are other examples -

But the US chose to bring freedom to Iraq - Iraq is now a battlefied in chaos - Multiple American deaths per day -

There used to be a guy named Sadam - who hated terrorists and hunted them and killed them

Now there are multiple terror groups - in a nation that the US government agencies said could not have been responsible for 9/11 and did not (previous ) to America's invasion and occupation have any ties to Alquedia - Now it does - but then it didn't

You sure as hell aren't going to believe me on this "FACT" so I challenge you to tell me which US President committed the biggest blunder in history and is solely responsible for Islam's hatred towards America. He also is responsible for Bin Laden's declaring a holy war against America He also teamed up with another US President to commit the second biggest blunder ever made by a US President .OK If you say Bush then you are a Idiot! I know this is asking a lot .Heaven forbid you actually take the time to do 10 min.worth of research to find out the truth. You do want the truth don't you ?Also NO Spinning the Facts and be able to back up what you say!!!! I will show you at the end of the question

My landlord put a ramp over my back stairs with a sign that says "NO TRESPASSING- for wheel chairs only" and said that no one could use the back stairs except for the man in the house who is in a wheel chair. However, before that we always used to use the back door. The back door (which we can no longer use) and the front door are the only ways in and out of the house. I live in Massachusetts and I always thought that it was a law that there has to be 2 ways to exit the building incase of a fire. Is this true? Is it illegal for her to stop the use of the back door?
