George Washington set a precedent by saying that two terms was enough. That informal limit was honored until Franklin Roosevelt ran for, and was elected to his 3rd and 4th terms. After his death, Congress decided to make the informal limit Constitutional, and made an amendment to that effect. It was ratified by the States, and now it is law. No one can be elected for more than 2 consecutive terms.

I think he should run again on the theory that the Constitution precludes a person from being elected more than twice, but since the Liberal position is that he wasn't really "elected" the first time, he could run again and do two years of the term.
It would be fun to put the people that say he wasn't elected the first time in a position to now have to say he was.
Other than that, I'm ready for someone who isn't a Liberal to be in the White House. Bush was well to the Left of JFK, so he was certainly not a Conservative.

Why do we have to kick Iraq's butt anyway? And which part of Iraq are you talking about, the Shiites, the Sunnis or the Kurds?
What would kicking Iraq's butt actually look like? Can you define it? George can't.
No, he has made too many huge mistakes. I wouldn't vote for him as dog catcher at this point. And constitutionally, he can run for that.
And I am no Democrat. You have to reach down as far as Richardson to find one I would vote for.

No. Bush's popularity ratings have been going down for years now. -If they get much lower, not even the Terrorists will want to trade him in for Chinese goods- anymore. Of course, we could always throw Cheney in to the "Deal", -but I doubt that would help much. Anyway, 8 years of the "Decider" listening to nothing else but the sound of his OWN voice- is quite ENOUGH for most people. It's time we put Bush out to "pasture" on his Ranch, in Crawford Texas- and find some OTHER way to deal the the situation in Iraq.

Hey, I admire President Bush. However, George stepped down after 2 terms; no one else should have more than 2, even though FDR did.

No, No, and NO again... I would shoot off my own foot first. If he ever became president again I would jump boat and move to another country because he's already nearly destroyed us, another 4 years and we would be dead in the water.

No, thank God we can't.
To carry it further, no person surnamed Bush, Clinton, or Kennedy should be allowed to run for President or any other public office for three generations.
