Even if you take everything he said at face value (even in light of the fact that other credible people testified in complete opposition of his testimony and basically called his testimony perjury) ......leaving all of that aside....don't you still feel because of his direct testimony he is very incompetent?!?!

He doesn't seem to have a very solid handle with what goes on in his own office and why.

Shouldn't the Attorney General of the United States have total control of the very important decisions that are made on behalf of his office?!?!?

Many of his fellow Republicans are losing faith in his abilities!

Do you think he should resign his office?

What is this “witch hunt” nonsense that Republicans keep repeating? This is no witch hunt. The US attorneys were fired for illegal and improper reasons.

Not only is Congress investigating interference with ongoing federal prosecutions but the manipulation performed by the Bush administration in prosecutions involving election fraud could adversely affect the 2008 elections. This is vitally important. Gonzales is obviously lying because such a level of incompetence is not credible.

Yes, he apparently can't remember anything that has happened in the Justice Department in the last two years. That screams incompetence.

Hello,

Well what else can one expect from government? They move not to quickly decisively or fairly at times. Like the Musical

to quote from the musical 1776,

"One lazy man is a disgrace. Two constitute a law firm. And three or more is a Congress."

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

Yep, watched most of it live.

And you've hit the double-edged sword he's dealing with -- either he really doesn't know what's happening inside his own office (culpable incompetence) or he lied (grounds for disbarment and/or perjury).

I did not watch it. This is a Congressional witch hunt; the Congress has no legislative authority or responsibility over the activities of the Department of Justice.
