Obama will not win the nomination. Even he must realize that he has not enough experience yet to fill the position. If he not aware of that he had best beware of hubris. It is most likely he is running to position himself for later.
Were he to win I doubt the "black vote" would vary much. The blacks who vote Republican have their reasons, and will not change based on the colour of their skin. Pundits like to categorize blocs, such as the "youth vote" but history has shown time and time again we do not vote as blocs, but as individuals.
That is what makes this country great.
I hope Clinton takes it, because she alone can force Rush Limbaugh into a spontaneous ostomy on the live election night telecast.

That's like asking if female republicans would vote for Hillary, the fact that Obama is black should have no baring on his chances, you should vote for him for his ideas.

It is sad but still understandable that so many people get caught in the web of celebrity. Obama and Clinton are celebrities. Clinton will say anything to keep herself in the limelight. When your ideas are borrowed from long-dead European socialists you turn every opportunity to speak into a call for party unity. Hillary's disguise is rather thin and record of achievement even thinner. In 7 years as a Senator, she has managed to author only one bill that has been enacted into law. One bill in 7 years!
She won her senate seat with a landslide victory--not because New Yorker's are wild for her policies, but merely because Rudy Giuliani (running against her) was forced out of the race by personal scandal so that Hillary ended up running against a total unknown.
Her collectivist ideas won't play in Peoria. All of his "you and I" garbage rings hollow with thinking adults; and people who understand that individualism is what made this country great, despise Hillary for promoting weakness and dependance through her calls for unity. Hillary's brand of Unity harkens back the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. She wants to Nationalize everything, from education to health care to the raising of children by the state. You see a well-crafted image of a woman of courage and determination, yet underneath it all is that beady-eyed, shrill, embittered, nasty and conceited yearner for utopian revenge on all those pretty people who passed her over.
Listen to what she says . . . to almost every question she responds "that is something worth looking at . . . studying . . . warrants further study . . . is one of the options under consideration---this lady has no program, no plan, no concrete specifics to offer the American people.
If having a female president is that important to some people, draft Barbara Boxer: she is 1000 times the senator Hillary wouldn't so much as dare to hope to be.
I predict the press will tear Hillary to shreds, dredge up all sorts of indicting material related to her law practice and the missing Whitewater witnesses, and the "Travel-Gate" incident, and Vince Foster's death, her knowledge concerning Bill Clinton's lies that got him disbarred, and that her campaign will end with unrepentant finger-pointing in an effort to salvage a lost cause through an appeal to pity and anger: "There is a Republican plot to get me . . .and the right-wing press is in on it."
Obama will press on right through to the convention. He will do well in the Northern Industrial States but not well enough to garner the nomination. The nomination will be made to appear hard fought with much storm and drama as many roll calls are taken, deals made, and the last person standing being Joseph R. Biden.

I think if someone like Guliani or McCain is nominated they may because many of them vote republican for socially conservative reasons and those two are anything but. Plus Obamas Cosby style tough talk resonates with them

Obama is to far left for any conservative to switch. Black or any other conservatives know its not about race. The Democrats want to make it entirely about sex and race

Well it could happen...and I disagree with the poster who stated that Obama would lose because of his stance on talking to ALL other countries. Richard Nixon talked with China when no one else from our country would. How can one expect for peace and understanding if they are afraid to talk? Just a thought.

Majority of people regardless of their race will not change their decision to support a particular candidate purely because of race.
