I can tell you right now that all those people in the Twin Towers were not killed by atheists; neither were the ones hung by the Ku Klux Klan; neither were the girls burnt in Salem.
When are you going to realize who the truly dangerous/evil people are?

If the US would take military actions against Iran, what other countries would get involved? On both sides?

Obviously, Israel and probably Britain would be right there w/ the US. But what about the rest of the Middle East? Or countries anywhere else in the World?

when the senate held a recent all-night session with regards to the Iraq war, it was reported that the president planned to veto their decision to begin pulling troops out of Iraq by April 2008. I was initially led to believe that the president's decision was made only upon hearing about the session, but I later recalled that he had in fact stated previously that he would veto anything that involved a specific date for withdrawal. But not only did the decision to begin removing troops fall short of the 67 votes needed to pass in the senate, but the president would veto it anyway even if it did pass. Now I may be wrong, but I always thought congress/senate had the power to override any decision made by the president provided they had the necessary support (in this case the 67 votes needed by the senate) to prevent an autocracy on the part of the president. So how could Bush have vetoed the decision anyway even if it had passed in the senate? He alone would not have the power to. Would he

The Muslim Council of Britain is slowly chipping away at Western culture.

The MCB wants British schools to enact special rules for the benefit of Muslim students. Western educational systems do not fit with Islamic traditions ... so let's change them! Muslims want to benefit from the education of British schools, and yet they refuse to follow the rules of those schools.

Here is a list of some of the "demands" the Muslim Council of Britain has suggested in order to "accommodate" Muslim children.

No dance classes (because dancing is forbidden in Muslim culture). All contact sports, basketball and football (that would be soccer for us Americans), must be played in single gender groups. School trips should be single sex, so Muslims will be encouraged to participate. Rather than wearing regulation uniforms, Muslim girls should be allowed to wear the hijab. The school can choose the color though. How kind. Boys should be able to grow beards, like the Prophet Muhammad, even though it violates British schools grooming policies. During Ramadan there cannot be science lessons related to sexual health, no parent-teacher meetings, immunizations, or scheduled exams. Apparently safe sex is to be avoided during Ramadan. Oh and no swimming lessons during Ramadan. You are not supposed to eat or drink during daylight hours, and if you swim you might swallow some pool water. Besides, non-believers may have peed in those pools. When you can swim, boys must be covered from navel to neck (what about below the navel?) and girls must completely cover up. Not just Muslim girls ... ALL girls cannot show any skin except for their face and hands. Arabic foreign language classes should be offered for Muslim students. In art classes, Muslim children shall not be allowed to draw people. Drawing people is forbidden under some interpretations of Islamic law. Killing people is not. Prayer rooms with proper washing facilities (separated by gender) must be offered. And all British children should be taught about the peaceful religion of Islam. But Muslim children can withdraw from any class lecture on other faiths like Christianity. This isn't just one isolated group making these suggestions. There are 1.6 million Muslims living in Great Britain and 96% of them are educated in the British government school system.

Is this because they KNOW it's more profitable for them in the long run to stay? After all, a lot of residents of New Orleans claimed entitlements and committed fraud for a LONG time afterward. Some probably still are. Are even more going to sit around and hold their hands out for their share next time?

My father reliquinshed his German citizenship in favor of the United States army and relocated here, and my mother was born in the states and is a current citizen. I was born in the states also, would it be easier to obtain German or French citizenship.

You join the military, they tell you that you are a fighting machine and don't ask questions. Then some idiot like Bush or a general tells you to go off to Iraq for 15 months and perhaps die. If you survive, you come home to some lousy military pay. If you are hurt, you may not be able to pay your bills. So you are a hero? What a joke!

well i got put on probation about a year ago, for what was suppoused to be a six month probation. the last time i was in court, about a month in a half ago my p.o. told the judge that i'd completed all the programs i need to and that i'm doing good, but i'm going to need to get randomly tested sometime before they let me off. and she said i'd get off "soon" well six weeks later they haven't tested me at all. their reason for it is because they "trust me" and they're only going to random me if they're suspicious. well if they trust me and know that i'm doing good why don't they just test me, see that i'm clean, and let me off? has any one gone threw any thing similar to this? i'm getting really pissed off about it

So, I am a massage therapist. And there is this annoying confusion between massage therapists & prostitutes.

I have nothing against women who want to make money with what they got.... I don't have any urge to do it, but I can understand that women are allowed to give it up to anyone for free, so why no profit from it?

Since it will never go away, why isn't there a larger movement to regulate & control this industry to prevent abuses by pimps, treat & screen for those with diseases & aid those sex-workers who want out of the industry with occupational rehab?

I want you to tell me what you think of the legal status of this profession.
Should we keep doing what we're doing?

Should we have harsher punishments or sentences?

Should we move towards acknowledgment, decriminalization & regulation?

Do you see another option?

With all the heaving and screaming and red-faced apoplexy lately about "socialism" and people "taking your property" I just had to do a little reading.

I just don't see what's so terrible about it.

At least Hillary understands the danger of giving credibility to leaders around the world who have no desires to better the world but to destroy it. For Obama to say he would meet with leaders of North Korea, Venezuela, Syria, Cuba in his first year shows why he is not ready for prime time. Hillary realizes the ground work that is needed to be done by envoys or State officials before any country outside of major allies, G8, or superpowers are met with. For that she deserves credit. Obama would only fuel more problems with his brand of diplomacy.
