It might be either "company" or "corporation" depending upon the state/country.

You see those terms because attorneys (and some other professions, such as doctors or therapists) are often prohibited from forming normal corporations -- the way most other business and professions can. That's to prevent them from being immune to malpractice suits.

But the state laws allow them to form PAs or PLLCs to limit their liability in other areas (slip-and-fall accidents, etc.)
