For those that think smoking is a risk- Yes it is a risk. Just like many risks we have the FREEDOM to take.

What about the fathers or mothers that take unneccesary risks while having a family???

Assume this possible case.
Let's say a father sky-dives and the mother is a diabetic that continues to eat too much sugar.

Suppose the father or mother would experience medical problems? this would hurt them and the family. the kids would be hurt emotionally. Both choices the father and mother made were not illegal. They could have refrained from making the choices.
Before we say that second hand smoke and smoking cause death to everyone, we might want to think a little bit.

It's called FREEDOM. A bar owner should have the right to allow smoking.

If the customer thinks it is a risk. The customer has the right not to go there.
The government shouldn't intervene with this.
If the father thinks sky-diving is a bad choice, he has the right not do it or do it.

After WWII, our servicemen had to go thru a lot of BS before they were able to come home. From overseas by troopship, then a train ride to somewhere, etc. it took awhile from hostilities to home.My dad , 6 months.

I hav a friend who was in "Nam. He was on patrol Tues, left for home, Wed. Was home Friday. He said he was walking down the street, heard a truck backfire, and hit the deck,

I have no idea what Korea was like.

My question,do you think this is too soon, perhaps a week or two to "unwind" before you get home.

How do you feel??Would it help?

the great Winston Churchill, "any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart, and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains..........

I guess the ending is always the punchline......

Are they really the forgotten kids? Does no one care? What about their parents did they care at one point in time? What happened to the kids? Why do they need to be drugged after the state gets them?

Want to read a good article? Read this:

States wrestle with medicating foster kids

Critics worry psychiatric drugs flow too freely to forgotten children

then tell me what you think?

The Holocaust was a horrible event that killed millions of jews, gypsies, jahova's witnesses, etc. But, why is the Holocaust constantly used as an excuse to allow the zionists to occupy Palestine? Isn't the point of the Holocaust not to let another act happen like it, but the Zionists are killing Palestinians everyday and occupying their land. Seems totally wrong, both for the dishonor done to Holocaust victims by using their sacrifice as an excuse to kill others.

I am an American citizen by birth but my paternal grandparents immigrated here from Mexico and my mother was born in Colombia. She past away when I was 5, and she wasn't a US citizen yet just a resident.
I read somewhere that if you are a citzen from a country that was a former colony of Spain you can become a Spanish citizen, thus an easy way to become a European Citizen.
Now I am not a dual citizen, but I think become a dual Mexican or Colombian citizen? Mexican citizenship may be easier since I am planning to live there anyway for study for 1-2 years.
If I become a dual naturalized Mexican citizen, and then moved to Spain, would I be eligible to then become a Spanish resident and eventually citizen? (I am willing to give up American citizenship for European citizenship)

I could care less if the FBI taps my phone, or listens to my cell calls. Privacy is an illusion. Cops patrol the streets looking for bad guys, why can't they patrol the telephone wires?

If you aren't doing something naughty, no worries.

I was medically discharged from the Navy with a 70% disability rating for schizoaffective disorder. I later filed for unemployability. It was accepted giving me a 100% disability rating. I'm afraid that someday they'll take it away or lower it. Will they?

I was really sick for a while. I was in a psych ward. I'm not as sick as I was then now that I've been on medication but I don't feel able to work. Thanks for your help.

Do you believe people who are poor are poor because they are lazy, stupid, or foolish? If you are well-off, did you earn your wealth? Did you inherit it? Either way, do you feel entitled to keep it without sharing it with those less fortunate through charitable donations or paying taxes?

I don't support Mrs. Clinton and I do support the War on Terror. I am assuming that there will be no withdrawal by Mr. Bush and if hypothetically she is elected President (God Forbid!!) what will be her decision about the troops in Iraq. Also will she have an alternative (Option B) to implement in Iraq not involving American Troops. I assume she will not stand idly by and allow mass genocide to happen in that country. So what will she do to stop that from happening. Many people talk about a civil war. Do they mean by that that one army is killing another as in America's Civil War in 1860 or do they mean Genocide of innocent civilians. What will she do to stop that from happening with no American Troops in Iraq?

Is there any doubt the USA is the source of the most terrorism and toruture in the world today? Abuse, kidnappings and mass assassinations are routine in Iraq and elsewhere by USA troops and contractors (mercenaries) posing as Al Qaida...how gullible or stupid does the USA think of the world?

Guantanimo in CUBA (on more stolen land) is a national prison for the USA, now a gulag military state absent law and fairness. Idiot Bush is the USA buffoon King by default. USA is now degraded to become a cartoon, pathetic criminal state with absolutely no rule of law.

Wouldn't your ability to learn and train be reduced if you are always tired? Giving you 4 hours of sleep a night, while under tons of stress, training hard, and trying to learn doesn't make much sense.

I sent a letter to the editor to my local paper because I believed that the school menu be changed in consideration of the lenten season. I asked that they switched Thursday's choice of fish burger to Friday. Because of the impact of my letter, the menu for the district was changed. I had stated that even tho there is church n state, that it states how the state cannot force someone or keep someone from practicing a religion. Serving the fish, did not force anyone to practice the catholic religion because there was still a choice of meat. That friday, a girl, threw tuna at me in front of the whole cafeteria making sure she had everyone looking. She threw the tuna said "heres ur f-ing fish" loud to turn the heads of the student body and told me i should have kept my mouth shut and not to bring religion into her life, as if all there was to eat was fish. Was i wrong in any way by sending my letter?

We all know they rigged the election both times, and we all know that they rigged the senate vote to authorize the use of force against Iraq, but it seems like they are getting some support here too. Do they have an army of cronies manipulating the "thumb wars" or did they hack into Yahoo's server?
