that "the christians" killed people during the crusades so we are no better than the Jihadists.

First of all 1,600 years ago this is just how the world was. In 2007, killing people for thier religiouse beliefs just does not fly, and Christians are no longer doing this.

Also, the Crusades was a time similar to today in that th Islamic Fundamentalist Hordes were trying to take over the world and the Crusades was an attempt to push them back.

The quesiton is, are we going to let them take voer this time? They already have France, and a lot of the UK, they even are on our own streets protesting agains the west.
It always starts the same way, they build Mosques, then small communities, then once thier numbers are large enough they begin causing riots and general chaos "all under the veil of that they are being somehow persecuted" and then they request the laws to be changed to be more Sharia law friendly and then they take over completely.

I dare anyone to prove otherwise.

Click on my screename to check out my other questions. I'm careful to cite reliable government sources whenever possible.

In the previous question, I asked isn't it propaganda for conservatives to say tax revenues are at an all time high when every single president could have said the same thing when they were president.

I got some idiot who said it wasn't true. Here are the stats.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/fy2007/sheets/hist01z3.xls

Every single president could have indeed said that including Bush Sr. However, when you look at the percent increase in real tax revenues, or real GDP, etc, etc, DEMS RULE!

The bill cuts the funding of the troops in Iraq. What exactly does that say to the Troops in Iraq right now about the democrats?

I can understand peoples views about how they need to come home, but how exaclty does cutting their fuding help them?

I'm not one that likes to make blanket statements like liberals or demorcats dont care about the troops. But this bill just seems like a total slap in their face.

What do you think?

their time trying to get these bills passed? Are they just PR moves by the Dems trying to show the American people that they finally have the backbone to take on Bush? But since Bush isn't going to have to run again & doesn't need to win any votes from the US public a PR campaign by the Dems is pointless, isn't it?

There is No way we can let them pull out of Iraq. Anyone know if this is final, or just stage one of a longer debate by demoscrats to cut and run before the job is done!! What a bunch of girls these anti-Iraq people are. I can bet dollars to doughnuts, most of them have never sacrificed themselves for their country. Or even been willing to be a real American. Makes me so sad, that my Dad, a 30 year combat pilot who fought in all the wars to protect the rights of these limp d's! God rest his Soul!

"WASHINGTON - A sharply divided House voted Friday to order President Bush to bring combat troops home from Iraq next year, a victory for Democrats in an epic war-powers struggle and Congress' boldest challenge yet to the administration's policy."

There are times when I get the impression that many people actally WANT another war, if only to drop more bombs on people you do not like. You may think you are sounding like the big tough guy who is afraid of nothing, but in reality you come across as being rather afraid. Despite the bible, War is never divine.

It is the powers of Congress to declare War and not the President. The President, as the Commander in Chief, must comply with Congress’ declaration of War and use all of the military forces and methodology as the President deems necessary.

It is Congress’ duty, in accordance with the Constitution, to determine from all of the means available to make the Declaration of War decision. Once that decision is made...it’s all up to the President.

The real Constitutional question, which is a little nebulas, is that Congress, and only Congress, must determine when the War is over. The President cannot rule that the War is over.

It is academic now if Congress believes they was misled in making their decision. At any time, they could have, and can, rule that the War is over. Once that it done, the President must comply and make a systematic withdrawal.

From what I understand, as of March 23, 2007 the House has voted and determined that the War is over at some date in 2008???

If you don’t support what Congress has done...don’t blame the President.

I thought that compensation was given as a payment or reparation for service or loss. In my opinion, a person's salary is the compensation, and the bonus is given freely for how well the service is performed.

Or are they just trying to get people upset with ridiculous questions/ statements?

Are there people out there that don't realize that the federal government can not intervene into situations like that until the state requests them to do so. For instance, sending national guard troops in to help is not allowed, until the governor approves them (as they had been offered)?

Is there really anyone who does not put the blame on the deaths of the victims on Mayor Negan, who ignored prewritten evacuation protocall?

Since Canada wants to go green our Federal Govt. wants to put an additional penalty on the purchase of gas guzzlers for the amount of $4000. If we buy Hybrids we get up to $2000 back. Although the cost of buying a Hybrid is quite expensive. I agree with everyone watching what they do in order to help global warming. Im wondering though, why dont they start with the mills, the big companys that have a lot of money and should be doing something to lessen the pollution they put into the air. What r ur opinions on this???
