Aren't leders supposed to lead to a common goal instead of a personal goal?

The U.S. is only the leader of the world in it's own mind and because it has lots of gun power. The very same gun power it tries to take away from other nations.

We are more the world bully. And when we have in the white house a man who was never a leader, could not really do anything on his own, had most of his positions bought for him.. it only stands to make the U.S. look worse.

We are a great and wonderful country, filled with good hard working down to earth people.. unfortunately, none of them are in the government.. none of them!

What personnel goals is America setting! Since personal goals are singular thus can't be used in this question.

What you mean to say is how can America be the world leader and try to influence other countries to follow? RIGHT

Actually America doesn't and it isn't. World power house NO, China has that now.

Trying to influence other countries well every countries tries to do that, this is nothing new but the U.S. does have the people power and technology to help others with guide lines. Of course that has been a failure for the last 20 years as we all can see. EXP: China - sweat shops, human rights just to name a few.

So on both questions!!!! NO !!!!

Firstly, it doesn't set personal goals, or any other kind other than to leave others alone. Secondly, a distinction between various flavors of goals is pointless; when the dust settles, all goals are personal.

I don't understand the question. What personal goals are you talking about? Also, leaders can only lead those who want to follow.

The problem is self interest and every nation has self interests and they should. We do what we think will benefit ourselves first and the world second. The majority of nations think this way. We elect our government to protect us and to do things that would benefit our citizens. When you do anything in your life do you ask everyone around you what you should do?....No you do what you think is right and what would benefit you and your family.
