I received a ticket for a rolling stop violation. Beside speed the officer wrote "A-3." What does this mean?

A-3 means that he approximated (estimated) your speed at 3 mph. If he had clocked you on radar the notation would have been R3...etc.

A-3 is just the number of the section of the violation.
