Sending U.S. troops to die for a lie was a slap in the face.

You are wrong. It does not cut funds for the troops in Iraq. It puts a timetable of 2008 to pull troops out of Iraq. They are still getting 100% of the funding they requested. Read the article on Yahoo. Also, it just passed the House and will probably not make it through the Senate.

More than likely it says the Dems will hold on to the House for a very short time indeed.
They know this will be vetoed (as it should be).
This is pandering to the leftist blogs and the loons over at MoveOn.org - this is what they do - spend the little bit of time when they actually show up for work, preening and posturing over non substantive gobble-de-**** in the hope that it will embarrass the president and score brownie points with George Sorros - the man they all answer to at the end of the day.

At first, i was pretty disturbed when i read it
Then I remembered it'll get vetoed.
This upsets me even more, because we all know its going get to a veto from Bush, so the democrats are wasting time passing the bills instead of focusing on other very important things, like healthcare.
The fact is, whether we agree with the war or not, we are in Iraq and we need to support our troops financially and emotionally so they will be safer.
And instead of trying to figure out ways to get them home, we all need to understand thats not going to happen as soon as we want, and maybe start focusing on other things. Our guys and girls will get the job done, as long as they have us back in the states cheering for them and not bickering about the same stuff over and over.
Just my two cents =)
EDIT: and by the way, i have lost family members in Iraq. And I still support Bush and our troops. My family who passed in roadside bombs and mortar attacks supported Bush and I would go fight if i was able.
And to base any opinion on the polls isnt smart. The polls arent always right, depending on who ran them. If a liberal media outlet has a poll on their website, of couse someone who watches conservative media outlets isnt going to paticipate in that poll. Come on, this isnt hard to get.

It says that democrats are grasping at straws. They oppose the president. That is all they are interested in. Power is the reason. They hope to create and keep such a stink in the air until they win the white house. Radical Islam has declared war on America. Peace at all cost Liberals would have us lose this war as long as they can make peace with the enemy.I got news for you. They aren't interested in killing conservatives. Liberal ideology is what Muslim extremists hate most.

It says Congress is doing their job. Congress controls the funds. That's their job, as defined in the Constitution.
The bill is way for Congress to use the Constitutional authority it has to do what (polls say) the majority of Americans want -- bring the troops home.
Since Congress has no other way to bring the troops home, they are using their Constitutional authority to control the budget and allocate funds. That's what the Founders intended, and why each branch has checks and balances.
