Why do I always see on the news that this many American troops died. No offence but am I supposed to feel sad for them. There in a war and in a war people die that’s life I wish the news would stop complaining. The US troops are in their country they are killing their people. They are bound to loose some of your own. Besides the number of US soldiers that die every day are nowhere as close to the number of Iraqis and Afghanis that die from US troops.

And if u say its because they are a threat you r wrong. About a month ago I heard on CNN that an Iraqi man was killed after US troops stormed into his house with their guns where they found his wife and kids in the living room. Moments later the father/husband enters the room with a gun. And they shot him in front of his wife and kids. Did it ever occur to them that he was trying to protect his family?

Everytime I ask a question about liberals versus conservatives, I get a couple of idiots who seem to believe the Republican Party was always conservative.

Have you people ever heard of the term "Radical Republican" and "Southern Strategy."? The Republican Party wasn't always dominated by white conservative southerners. It used to be a great radical/progressive/liberal northeastern party.

The US is the world's biggest financial aid contributor, as we know it. However, over 1/3 of this aid goes to Israel, a country that is considered rich and technologically advanced.

Why isn't this money used to really fight poverty?

Hmm, let's put it this way : suppose you looked like an Arab, how would you feel when you're systematically double checked at the Immigration desk ? I quiet often travel accross the English Channel (whether by ferry, Channel Shuttle, Eurostar or just fly...) I always experience the fact that my European Union passport (or ID) are bouble checked although the informations showed on the sreen match with the holder. Having travelled hundreds of times accross the Channel or around the world, I do know that deep checks are processed towards people of Arabic ethnicities whether they come from North Africa or The Middle East... Moreover, these people undergo totally unjustified police checks on the road, no matter if they're driving or just walking, most of time as normal as enjoying themselves... OK, Britain is more respectful of freedom although it's sadly increasing these checks.. But in France or Belgium it's much more different and very embarrassing at the end. Enough ! Please...

In the past couple of weeks we've had the attorney purge scandal, the Scooter Libby conviction, the Walter Reed debacle and the Kahlid Mohammed confession ruse. But we've also had WMD lies, government spying, signing statements, election fraud, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, Jack Abramhoff, Tom Delay, Mark Foley, Haliburton no-bid contract scandal, Haliburton leaving the country after looting billions scandal, the missing billions in Iraq reconstruction funds scandal, the Valiere plame scandal, the Cheney/CIA scandal . .

I know there are more but I'm struggling to remember them all. No other administration in our nation's history has lied to and looted from the public with such impunity. Their good buddies the Democrats are, at the least, tacitly complicit with the Bush crimes.

"Impeachment is off the table." -- Nancy Pelosi- D (immediately after the Democrats took control of congress and gained the power to check the criminal actions of Bush if they had really wanted to do so.)

Is this not indicative of just what Roman Catholicism does to a people who were originally pagan in their religious beliefs? There are too many of these indigenent people, who have no education. They have created their own country, and they have created their situation. However, the Roman Catholic Church has tsaught them not to practice birth control, and they are very succeptible to suggestion. If they cut down on their birth rate, they would not have 6-7 children to support, and would be able to support themselves.

Obviously, presidents with dictatorial leanings find this useful to completely avoid the checks and balances process. They use executive orders to make laws with no input from Congress whatsoever. This is one of the easiest ways to make a king in the United States.
Perhaps outlawing THAT should be a primary goal of Congress.

I was always taught that you don't hang your dirty laundry out to dry. This is all the Democratic party seems to do by ranting and raving instead of offering a real solution or plan.

More helpless than any minority race or gender, animals provide an opportunity for near-total altruism.
It's time the USA caught up to Europe and outlawed more forms of lab testing. It's time we banned factory farming and returned to the pastoral farms you see in all the movies.

"So I've decided that I am going to get a new tattoo, or rather add to the cross I have on my back. I want to get something to represent my relationship and what we have had to overcome for the 2 years that we will have been apart (by the time he makes it home from Iraq) however, I have no ideas on how to represent that. I feel like I have such a great idea and no pictures in my head. Something along the lines of strength, courage, hardships, faithfulness, ect. that this deployment has brought upon us. Any ideas from anyone? or better yet, send me drawings :) I don't want anything tacky....such as my husbands name across my back or something.....that will never happen, its still gotta look nice....help me out here people.
