Actually I revise my answer. To look like a smart Republican? That could be a challenge!
Stop playing politics like football and hoping for your "team" to win.
First to be smart I would leave the Republican party. ( If i was a republickan, which I am not. Not a Democrat either) Then I would start a populist party built on good old fashioned american values. You know, the ones your grandparents had!
