My friend and I are planning a trip to Canada, but she is concerned she will not be able to get a passport because she has a prior felony in Michigan for falsifiying a police report. It had to do with an ex beating her up. Is it possible for her to get a passport? thanks much!

Ellow there everybody.

I have heard that, if you don't apply for a provisional licence before the end of this month (March) you'll have to wait untill your 21. Is this true? Because I know, over here, in England, you can apply for one when your 16. And I wish to get one. But I want to know, if this is going to happen now. Can you please provide me with some proof from the government or something.

Thank you.

Why is it that the only bad thing you hear about Bill Clinton is that he had a sexual act and then tried to cover it up?? What the heck does that have to do with him as a President?? If you can say you never ever had a sexual act such as he did, then deface the man as much as you like, but to jump on a ban wagon to deface his entire Presidency due to his mistake in judgement and allow a man (Bush) who kills thousands, lies to the the entire american country, has more cover ups then any previous president, steals the presidency 2 times, lines the pockets of big business, lies about his affiliation with the armed services, denies any knowledge of something that passes through his desk, uses a scape goat (Libby) to take the fall for his own doings, uses the excuse of his lies that it's something that he needs to do to protect us from... ignores the UN, and basically the most dishonest man ever to take on the Presidency?? And you go off on a man that had sex during his term?? WOW !!!!

Virtually every Democrat charge made has proved to be true and more charges have been made. If you aren't sorry, why not? How much corruption, waste, and greed needs to be proven before the end doesn't justify the means?

My best friend is ready to enlist in the Army, but I believe she may not be able to. She is currently on unsupervised probation. Does she have to wait until her probation is over before being allowed to enlist?

Oh, and please do not refer me to a recruiter. Even though I know they will give me the answer, I dont want to speak to one. I will refer her to one but this whole yahoo answers commuity is so that we can hear from our peers and the public about stuff. So what do you think or know?

Some have argued that the declining deficit (but still a deficit) indicates that supply side economics works. However, in order for this argument to be true, the growth in the economy must come primarily from tax cuts.

However, this article helps make it increasingly clear that it was the Federal Reserve cutting the prime rate to 1% and thereby fueling a housing boom that was the prime motivator for the economy.

After all, the tax cuts are still in effect (and even getting larger) - so if they were the biggest factor, a housing slowdown should have negligable effect, right?

In other words, supply-side economics is either wrong, or at least we are well below the ideal tax rate suggested by the Laffer curve (so further tax-cuts will simply decrease revenue).

I suspect that - when he's all alone with his thoughts - he breaks out in a cold sweat and howls at the moon. Then he gets on his knees and begs for forgiveness. Babs, on the other hand, is proud of her spawn.

Why in the Scooter Libby case how do you get indicted for obstuction of justice when no law was actually broken in the initial complaint.
A good analogy here, It's like being indicted for muder, then the muder victim shows up alive and well, but you still get indicted because they believe you lied about your whereabouts, to me this a classic example of political percecution or am I missing the point.

I gave a two week notice, but only worked out 8 days due to 2 funerals I had to attend. I had been employed there for 4 months. The facility is now telling new prospective employers that I did not work out my 2 wk notice and that I am not rehirable and that my employment did not go "smooth" yet my 90 day eval was a 3 out of 5.In other words, I am being blackballed now. I live in Indiana. What course of action should I now take?
