It seems that Iran (tacitly) helped stabilized northwest Afghanistan post 9-11 and that the Iranian supported Shiite militias of eastern and southern Iraq have done far less against coalition forces than they could. Is this correct? And if this is correct, what could Iran do in these theaters of war?

These potential costs do not seem to be much discussed in the media or in Washington.

I think we have a handful of jokers ourselves. Romney and Giuliani were pro abortion- and are closet libs- McCain is a closet lib and is a poster child for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Newt is seen as an elitist, and maybe so- too smart perhaps- Hagel- I have one word: Bagel.
Then we have our nice guy, can't get elected guys.
What do you we do people. Do we want to do what the Dems did last time- pick a loser by default- They back Kerry- Even the Libs had to know that guy was 100% certified Loser.
My Solution- Condi Rice / Fred Thompson -or Jeb Bush 2008 (The libs would love that - George III- they would move to Canada). Esp if Hillary gets nomination- We'll win no matter what- but do we want a loser to win?

Here's the premise: The basic diffference between conservative and liberal thought today is that conservatives would like to maintain a status quo, or certain standards to uphold (in spite of not always doing it). Liberals would like to have standards be relative (as in, it's ok for you but not for me), or non-existent (standards? who needs them?).

Do you agree with my premise?

Is it good or bad to have standards? Shouldn't politicians on both sides be held to standards?

Democracy? Yes, the Iraqis (Shiites/Kurds) have no problem voting but there's a lot more to running a successful Democracy than just voting. And if the Iraqi Sunnis refuse to vote will there ever be a successful democratic govt. in Iraq? And if Bush's whole reason for keeping US troops in Iraq is so that the Iraqi Democracy/Govt. can stablize, what is the point of keeping US troops in Iraq if Democracy has about a 3% chance of succeeding?

I was drunk last night and me and a friend had bumped into two guys walking in the opposite direction (or they bumped into us). They yelled something to us and we started to walk close behind them.

About this time a cop runs up and grabs me from behind. After some time and lecturing the cop wasn't issuing a ticket, the other two guys were already gone, and the cop was walking back to his car.

I wasn't running my mouth to the cop, I'm quite sure of this and have my friend and an unbiased bystander as a witness. While he was walking toward his car he said "one more word out of you and you're going to get arrested" (this is the only 'threat' ever uttered between us).

In retrospect I could have not said a word but I replied "What for?" completely innocuously. He prompted cuffed me, threw me in the back of a car and charged me $424 for a misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

I looked into the law in my city and it says that one can not be charged more the $200 for the offense?

"You are about to read a list of 45 goals that found their way down the halls of our great Capitol back in 1963. As you read this, 39 years later, you should be shocked by the events that have played themselves out. I first ran across this list 3 years ago but was unable to attain a copy and it has bothered me ever since. Recently, Jeff Rense posted it on his site and I would like to thank him for doing so. http://www.rense.com

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963 "

I think we lost it, how about you?

every black I know is so excited about a black man running for president but what is not being discussed at all is that his mother is as white as I am and his father wasnt even from the U.S.A His mother was a jayhawker from Kansas so he's technically a "mulatto" not a true "african-american" but no one seems to point that out can anyone tell me why?

When I was in Iraq during the Gulf War, the Canadian Air Force was right next to us. When was the last time you heard of the Mexican military doing anything? I know Canadians that have moved to America. They did the paperwork, became citizens, learned the language, and got jobs. I think we all know about the problem with Mexicans moving to America. If anything, we're an annoyance to them. When the going gets tough, the draft dodgers move to Canada. Why does everyone hate Canada? Give me real reasons, not just "Canada Sucks."

I could really use some help. Please just pick a topic and say what you would like to see happen to it-resolved or suggestions would be great.
