You could go to jail, but it would depend greatly on the circumstances. If you hit your kids excessively, or to the point were physical injury marks are left, then yes. Spanking your kids although many people would argue is against the law, is actually ok. Any complaint regarding hitting would first result in an investigation by child protective services. If they feel that the abuse is ongoing and excessive, then the children will be removed from the home. If there were obvious signs of excessive abuse, in which the child was injured in such a way that they could not walk, or are bleeding, and or require immediate medical attention, then you would most likely go to jail. Good luck. A little good ol' spanking is ok, it is what these kids now-a-days need!!!

A light smack on the bottom, or the hand is not bad, although a lot of places even call that abuse now. Any hitting around the body or head that leaves any kind of mark, is abuse, and could lead to community service or jail, and the possible removal of the children from your care.

You can't even think about giving your kids the whipping they
need and deserve anymore! You threaten them with any kind of punishment only to have them smile and threaten to report
you to the police through their teacher! Jail time is possible
depending on the story that's told to these so called police.
For example, One of my son's teachers reported finding bruises on my son. which led to the cops "investigating" as they put it. I did whip my son and will every time he deserves it.
The cops dropped it after they realized it was bogus. I then
went to my son's school and got to meet the ***** that caused
the mess, I told them that I would discipline my kids when it was necessary. I also told them that I would sue the teacher,
the school and eventually the state for false accusations. Once that was made clear the Principal apologized and fired the teacher. Kentucky schools are a joke! Don't let ANYONE
tell you how to punish your kids, if they deserve it go ahead and whip them. YOUR KIDS, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, YOUR
RIGHT!!!!!!

YES YES YES. Child abuse is illegal. If you know someone who is abusing their children make a hotline call to Division of Family Services/ Child Protective Services.

It depends, in Australia, it is legal to use reasonable force when disciplining your child. Reasonable is a fuzzy term, but it's generally said to include light spanking and so on...However if you use excessive force then you could be charged
