I understand that when active duty in Iraq, there are many bonuses added to pay from being in active war zone, etc.. There is a "bonus" if you will, added for each category the soldier falls under. My question is that I want to know that if an active duty military personnel is in Iraq, are they taxed on their wages and if not, then what happens when they file taxes the following tax year? How can they file taxes on wages that were not taxable? If an E7 is doing a tour of duty overseas for a full calendar year, this means they are strictly active duty military....how does this work?

Granted, there are some UK Mod accomodation that does leave a lot to be desired today, BUT, why, for the sake of BALANCE could the media not show that NOT ALL UK troops accomodation are like they have portrayed over recent months?

http://www.theroyalwelsh.org.uk/2bn/inde...

Again, if I were a cynic, and had yet to listen and read the media spin - as in the links below, one could be forgiven for believing that at a cost of UK troops accomodation, they came a poor second to the cost of the £2.3BN refurbishment of Mod HQ in Whitehall..? as in the links below -

MAYBE, if the MoD had shown picture of the accomodation as shown in the Roayl Welsh site above, instead of the slick tv adverts costing £THOUSANDS, they would have MORE recruits joining up? Basic equipment v pie in the sky

I'm well past being upset with them. I no longer get angry or frustrated with their looney mindset. I am to the point where all I can do when they celebrate Vice President Cheney's close call is to scratch my head and wonder, "How do they live like that?"

They are so alien to a normal American's way of looking at life that I'm no longer sure they're even mammals.

All across America, elections are happening all the time at all levels of government. Say there are two candidates running for a particular office, it doesn't matter which one belongs to which party. But say that one of them was gay and that he was a more credible candidate with expierence. Would you cast your vote for the other guy just because he wasn't gay?

For the pass 10 to 20 years China seems to be catching up with their western counterpart in their military strength. Not sure what weapons have they developed thus far. It is amazing if their technology will surpass that of the US and the other part of the world.

In their hatred for the President and VP, they have lost sight of the fact that an attack on one American is an attack on all of us.

I guess their crocodile tears for lives lost in this war don't apply to the Vice President.
