All across America, elections are happening all the time at all levels of government. Say there are two candidates running for a particular office, it doesn't matter which one belongs to which party. But say that one of them was gay and that he was a more credible candidate with expierence. Would you cast your vote for the other guy just because he wasn't gay?

I sure would. If he/she was the better candidate. Its high time America started voting on issues, rather than politicians' private lives! I would rather have a good gay candidate than a corrupt straight one. And how could their sexual orientation matter, when you are talking about economics, military and foreign affairs?

The important part of this question is "experience". Most politicians running for high office have minimal experience at anything except taking care of themselves and their buddies. So experience is irrelevant. I have nothing against a gay candidate so long as he/she is not going to have a gay inner circle telling him/her what to do.
I am pretty certain everybody has voted for a gay without knowing it. In the past if we knew about it they definitely would not have been elected.

That's a skewed question because you have an extra variable. "More" credible does not give any measurement of how much "more". So while one person reading the question might think it slightly more, another may assume it to be much more. If you want the best possible answers, you need all of the variables to be flat.

I'm a traditionalist. I think a person's personal life bears some importance when running for office. They don't just give orders, they also set examples. I think that was one of Clinton's biggest downfalls. I cheered for him when he intervened militarily in Serbia to stop a genocide of Albanians, but I booed him during the Monica scandal.

I can't answer your question within the frame you give, because you have more than one variable. So, lets just assume that both candidates are equally credible and qualified otherwise. Would I vote for the straight man or the gay man?

I would vote for the straight man.

Why? I think that forcing another man's human waste and toxins back up his rectum, despite his bodies best efforts to get rid of these thing, is probably not the best example. Some call that love. I call it a generally unhealthy sexual act with risk of internal bleeding and sickness. Sodomy is actually quite unhealthy.

Hate to admit i'd. If the politician's techniques and plans are for the non violent life of human beings on our planet earth. I certainly have a feeling gay politicians does not start up wars yet unfold the message of affection and peace. whilst there are actually not any wars then harmless lives of toddlers would be stored and am effective even God loves the belief.

No. It depends upon what side of issues they support. Being gay doesn't grant them a superpower or anything. They're just another candidate to me.

Yes. I voted for Barney Frank for the House of Representatives when I lived in Brookline, MA in 1988. Then I moved across the Charles river where I was represented by a heterosexual philanderer named Joseph Kennedy.
