I still hear people saying that Al Gore said he invented the internet.
And now this "Al Gore hypocrite" lie.
Is the truth just not exciting enough?

It's another case of the large number of people who prefer not to have to think about anything. Too many people prefer to believe what someone else has said or written than to research and make an educated decision on any given topic. Some of these same people enjoy hearing anything derogatory about famous people.

Propaganda is a view point being used to appeal to a mass audience. Most of the time these are lies or half truths to appease or appeal to a group of people. So that is always more appealing than the truth. Remember George Washington didn't really cut down that cherry tree. That was propaganda to get more support.

I bet Gore dosen't even know how to check is Yahoo! account.

Life is full of infinite absurdities, which, strangely enough, do not even need to appear plausible, since they are true.

- Luigi Pirandello

The sad truth is: propaganda is more believable than the truth. It doesn't challenge one's comfort zones.

Truth is subjective. There are some people who think 9/11 was an inside job and say that it is the truth. One persons truth is another persons lie.
