Just kidding, but now he wants DNA tests to see if he is an offspring of Thurmond's ancestors who Sharpton claims owned his family.

Is this just an attempted cash grab? Public extortion? Or does Al think he is the result of a tawdry affair between Master and Slave?

There is a gas station near my house that has "Proud to be American owned and operated". I know a common thing I have heard from a certain group of americans is that they are not proud to be american, and think that being proud to be a american is wrong.

I always wonder about this gas station when I pass it because I know alot of people dont feel that way. My question is, would it discourage you from going there? Would you drive to the next gas station in order to get gas? Also, would this make you want to shop there? Why, or why not :)

Because America has given peace every chance for decades, we now has 30,000,000 Harry Reeds and Ted Kennedies. Do they count as 'men'?

If not, what war ever cost us 30,000,000 men?

All they need now is a Jew, a gay, and a Mexican! The democratic party is a joke. They try to unite minorities and pit them against the majority. They create segregation in order to obtain votes. Please vote for someone who will consider the whole nation. That's how Clinton got elected, don't forget that he let Bin Laden go, maybe he's Satan. I think they have some of the same views. I hope there are enough intelligent people to keep the segregators out of office.

Whether 2,000 troops come home this year or not, it is too little too late and shouldn't we intensify our call for all troops to be withdrawn NOW and for Britain to break the link with George Bush's foreign policy?

why is it that when you question iran's right to a nuclear weapon in front of a liberal, they always refer to israel as if israel threated to destroy another nation. iran has stated on numerous occasions that it wants to destroy israel. their islamic clerics are just aching to spread their worthless god to other nations, and many prominent iranians on the Communist News Network have stated that iran is a major source of funding for islamic terrorism. israel has offered many times citizenship to palestinians and full rights. but those PEACEFUL MUSLIMS refused it and started terrorist organizations. what a GENTLE AND PEACEFUL AND "GOOD FEELINGS" religion.
at this point the liberals will claim that jews "stole" that land and will find some biased site that claims to prove it. now who's the anti-semite/nazi? socialists against jews. at least jews didnt start worldwide terrorist movements like al qaeda and hezbollah.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

No matter what you think about what we should do in Iraq now, you must agree that the horror being lived by Iraqis will never be forgiven. Who will they blame ulitmately, for these things?

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A car bomb exploded Tuesday at a soccer field on the outskirts of Ramadi, killing 18 children, Iraqi TV reported.

The soccer field is in western Ramadi -- capital of the Sunni-dominated Anbar province. The children were playing on the field when the blast occurred, Iraqi TV reported. No other details on the attack were immediately available.

The soccer field attack followed terrorist bombings in Baghdad at a popular ice cream shop, a parking lot and a restaurant that killed eight people and wounded 24 on Tuesday....

one trend that i see is that everything in politics has been reduced down to liberal or conservative. i think when that happens we (as in the whole population) miss how complex our policies really are. we cant effectivly solve problems based only on liberal or conservative view points.
its like when you see the news ,when you agree then its fact, when you disagree its biased.
this may be an example,
how can a party be pro life but support the death penalty?
do you think that we should stop and rethink our politics of only being conservative or liberal??? ive never seen our country so devided... united we stand is our slogan??? are you kidding me

During the last 5 years, the US dollar has lost 34% of its value. The dollar you had 5 years ago is now only worth 66 cents. That is an alarming rate of inflation.
The single most responsible cause of this inflation has been the extremely high deficit spending of the Bush Administration. The government has been increasing the money supply beyond that needed by the economy, which devalues the dollar.
To fight this inflation, the federal reserve has for the last several years tighten the money supply to the private sector in an attempt to slow the private sector's need for more cash. In other words, the private sector is punished for the government spending more money than it has.
This lack of fiscal control by the Bush administration has the country facing a shrinking dollar and the possibility of a recession by year's end.
As a fiscal conservative, I find this situation most distressing. How will we get the country off this road to ruin?

Does it seem right that the very people who are expected to die for our freedom, cannot express opposition to the war?

Listening to "Condi" Rice say that there were "Thousands of tactical errors" almost made me vomit. The boots on the ground are fighting with one hand tied behind their back.

They probably shouldn't even be in Iraq, Bin Laden was hiding in Afghanistan/Pakistan & the 9/11 attackers virtually all came from Saudi Arabia.

But anyway, should soldiers be able to criticize the prosecution of the war?

This is before being considered for British citizenship. As this will be with the most vunerable eg.children and the elderly. Will they have to be checked by the Criminal records Bureau as do many who have worked in that field for years ? I am not suggesting this is a bad idea only that as to get the enhanced check you have to go back through he whole of your working life including every different address. I would imagine this to be an impossible task.

A few minutes ago, I posted a question asking how Fox News was "fair and balanced". One answerer responded by posting statistics indicating that Fox News did a lot more positive reports about the war in Iraq than the other outlets. Why do people want a rosy picture of the war? THIS IS WAR! War is ugly and brutal and causes nothing but death and destruction. If anything, I wish that all of the media outlets showed all of the carnage, just so that the viewers at home would have a more accurate view of what's going on.
