does anyone else agree that american judges are probably the most unprofessional in the world. allowing cameras into a court room is disgusting and is illegal for good reasons in britain. sometimes I think they just pay people off the street and give them a cloak and hammer. it is pathetic compared to the british legal system.

Obviously, there aren't really any "missions" like there would have been in WWII, so what are they doing over there? Just making patrol runs? Waiting to get attacked by some insurgent? How can we justify having our troops over there serving as policemen in the middle of a civil war? It's just mind-boggling to me. Bring these brave men and women home!!

That she could trust the President of the United States to be forthright to the Congress and the American public - but has learned since that time that neither she nor the American public can trust him?

I think America would buy that story!

I would!

that your hero Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox) has funded her NY senate election campaign? I mean, come on, it's obvious she's another corporate neo-con just like you and Murdoch.
And, are you liberals now going to stop thinking she is opposite of Bush?

What I do?

The thing is it was a concert ticket for second row and then later I bid and won a front row ticket for the same concert so I no longer want the second row ticket.

On top of that the seller of the second row ticket was really kind to me because I asked him if he could wait a couple of weeks until payday for me to buy the tickets and he was really nice about it.

What happens if I don't pay? Is it that serious?

Quick note: I do not believe in man made global warming.

So after all the yelling, screaming, and crying from Europeans over Americas "Co2" emissions and refusal to sign the ridiculous Kyoto protocal - it turns out America is "Greener" than Europe. (Washington Times).

Can anyone explain how this happened?

P.S. Now might be a good time to apologize.

I live in the US, but my great-grandparents were from the UK and Ireland. I am not trying to be racist, but I hate hearing about how immigrants from the Middle East and other places are immigrating like crazy to the UK and US. I hate it because I view it as destroying our culture and mixing our people up. I think that people should live in their own country, in order to preserve their own culture. If they have a problem in their own country, they should face the problem and not be selfish and arrogant and run away. It's like the Jews. They were cowards and ran away in WWII and created a state in someone else's country, and look what we have now. They should have faced the Holocaust like every other Jew had to. In the US, we have illegal Mexicans going through the border. It frustrates me, because pretty soon, the Mexicans are going to be a large ethnic group. I don't want it. I think all of the people in the US and Great Britain should be European, and not Asian and South American.

I have to do a term paper for my History class about Thomas Jefferson and his domestic issues/political policies and how his decisons went against his principles but were beneficial to the nation and vice versa. This is my introduction, tell me what u think and how i can change it to make it better:

Thomas Jefferson: the third president of our United States, author of the Declaration of Independence, former governor of Virginia, author of the Virginia statue for religous freedom, and much much more. Despite these great accomplishments, Jefferson also made decisions that were not considered honorable and virtuous in the eyes of the people. During his presidency, Jefferson made decisions that were considered to be "political suicide" and also made him look like a hypocrite. For example, Jefferson preached equal rights for man yet was a slave owner himself. He also refused to suport Hamilton's idea of a National Bank but he was suffering (check the additonal details)

A jerky postal worker with an attitude just rang my doorbell to ask my husband not to write on other people's mail, because "it's a federal offense." This is mail that was incorrectly delivered to us (shocking, I know), and my husband had written "Not at this address, please return to sender" on it or something similar. I was too pissed off at his attitude to question the postal worker about how you're supposed to handle incorrectly delivered mail but am dubious about his "federal offense" reasoning and think he was just having a bad day and wanted to be a pissy jerk to someone.

even when the robber barons made millions upon millions of dollars, there were no income taxes. government functioned then, and since washington was the president, without the influx of the worker's tax dollars. then legislation was passed legalizing federal income taxes. taxes are so high, if you were to add up every single penny you spend for every single tax you would find that they equal about 60% of every dollar you spend!

so, i want to know how were government officials paid for their services before the income tax?

how were military campaigns, wars and weapons paid for before the income tax?

how were washington, dc monuments and buildings built before the income tax?

how were national parks run without the income tax?

do you think that a law should be passed that says that our "representatives" should work as volunteers, or at least, that they can't give themselves raises & now pay social security taxes?

are our reps worth our money? why?
