So you are saying that you would rather be helpless if Iran decided to nuke London?

BTW if you are so against defensive systems - why don't you remove all the locks on your doors?

I'm gonna get clobbered for this, but what the hell.. it's relivent.
At the moment, we critize the decisions to place nuclear arsenal ANYWHERE..... we resent the people who determin these things... we think we are being ignored and taken advantage of... we immagin there are agendas working subvertedly...we do not trust our leaders in the least.... we have many reasons to doubt them and to question there integrity... we know there are liers and manipulated situations they have covered up, or white washed, or outrite denied..

ON THE OTHER HAND....

Should some development of national defence arize, and such defencive wepons were not at hand to those who inniate our defences or our national protection...we then would be the worse for wear when we have to be our own exicutioner, due in great part because we foolishly prevented our selfdefence it's affectiveness....

England once did exactly that to it's self... and there are veterans alive today who remember it happening....

So... how much fertilizer does it take to grow an ignorant mystake? How much political opinion whacking is going to answer a problem that is rightly antisipated, but unpredictable?

It is to greater causes than just a simple answer or a social insult or a civil insult that weaponrys be at hand and ready...no injustice has been done to you or any one with the distribution of defences... ask England wether this is in fact true or not..i am sure they have a very different opinion than yours.

i don't like to mention this, but its a point worth making. days before the terror attacks on America, this was being discused, and it just shows that you don't need a missile to do damage.

and any way any missles that may be going to the US are gona come from N.Korea and what good is a nuke missile anti missile system in the UK dona do then?

I don't mind if we (UK) have an American anti missile defence system here. Why should we not have their protection systems here.Free protection against an enemy that we cannot defend our self's against, bring it on.
However if you listened to the news the Polish are going to get it not us.
How can you possibly compare the Americana's to the Taliban.

Looks like you`ve read the latest about the new £20billion Trident submarines.
Just to enlighten you further. the system we have now is Trident and before that we Polaris, both bought from the USA.
Britain doesn`t have the resources to develope a Nuclear missle system so why not buy one from a friendly country that can waste Trillions of £ on development.
Seems sensible to me and very cost effective.and and spares are easy to get

well at least we faught the taliban, we didnt fight europe we just gave it them. as regards these rockets britain was only a choice among three countries, two east europe. heres a senario, the outher countries they will put them in are in europe, if the united states of europe fall out with america, americas missiles will be on european soil readt to shoot down american missiles. or ours if it ever came to that.

I wish we (and the Americans) would just leave the rest of the world to implode on itself instead of being 'World Police'. That would be the easiest way to regain the Empire instead of finding ourselves on the backfoot in the 'war' against 'terror'.

That said, the logic of an anti-missile missile defence system is pretty sound.

Big American and British corporations who are stealing tax payers money and giving some "commissions" to Blair and Bush. That will work like the "defence Umbrella" on 9/11 2001.....

Waste of money. In the cold war the Russians had hundreds of nuclear bomb suitcases which could wipe out a city. Effective delivery system and probably given to sleeper agents to look after during Cold War.
