If the guy was a Republican, it would have been shouted from the rooftops. I couldn't find a single story that identified him as a Democrat. Liberal press? YOU HAD BETTER BELIEVE IT!!!

Intestinal gas.

These arabs eat all this falafel and it gets them all gassed up! That's why they jump up and down going "ububububububub" - they are trying to get the gas bubbles out. They hate America because we have all the Beano.

It was the same with Kim Jung-Il except with him it was Kim-Chee - we're not really giving him heavy oil, we're giving him Gas-X.

And it was cabbage what got to Hitler too, in the sauerkraut.

If they all just ate cheeseburgers like us, they wouldn't be such violent pricks!

By a sunset requirement, I mean a consitutional amendment which says each bit of legislation and administrative regulation expires some certain term after it becomes law, somewhere between 5-7 years. It can be reintroduced, but MUST be reintroduced in order to go beyond the sunset date. Similarly, all agencies cease to exist some years (5-9) after their formation and can be re-created or re-formed, but must be re-created in order to exist beyond the sunset deadline.

This seems to be a great way to shrink government and reduce the statutory and regulatory burden that citizens and businesses face, and it is way less time consuming and controversial than trying to get congress to repeal something. If the law or regulation is essential for the survival of civilization, it can be reintroduced and reauthorized. If it is no longer necessary or desireable, it dies a natural death with no fanfare, and there is less red tape for everyone.

Why do people hate Hillary Clinton so much? Please not diatribes. Give me facts and cite your resources. If you are not prepared with facts please do not bother to answer.

Hating because it is popular is one thing but mass hysteria is not good. Since I have not totally made up my mind I need information that people have that I can consider to make a wise decision.

LOOK, they're in prison on THREE STRIKES YOUR OUT laws - - THREE CONVICTIONS - that's a LOT. Sorry but Grateful Dead concert-goers aren't THAT unlucky.

It's near impossible to prove many gang-related crimes - no one wants to testify or they'll end up dead. But you can prove that the guy had drugs on him, that's easy.

Why can't people see this - yes, the crime on which the guy was run up-state was a drug crime - - that doesn't mean that he's not a hardened criminal! The Libs take the stats that show that the crimes that got people the time were drug possession crimes and tell you that means the prisons are full of recreational pot smokers and that's just not true.

I was driving home when the storm started in PA the other night. A car in front of me was losing control (stopping short) and in order to avoid hitting them I passed on the left in a no passing zone. If I had gone right there was a snow bank forming. As I passed left a police officer was a block up and saw this, however didn't stop me. I drove another 2-3 miles home and was stopped in my driveway by the officer after parking my car. He ordered me back into my vehicle and ran my documents. He quickly returned to say he had another call to get to and that I would get documents in the mail. I tried to discuss what happened but he just walked away and drove off. I assume he meant tickets. I freely admitted I improperly passed, but I was in control of the vehicle and was under the speed limit (about 20 mph in a 35mph). It was either accident or go around. It seems like this was strangley handled by the officer, I plan to fight it in court, any input would be appreciated on this...

Feb 21st at 9am in El Paso, TX there is going to be a memorial for (now) 7 fallen soldiers from the 4-1 CAV from Ft. Bliss. I was just informed that a radical group, known as the Westboro Baptist Church, is going to show up and protest. Not against peace, but in celebration of the death of our soldiers!

Message from group: "These six soldiers were slain by God Almighty, the Man of War, for enlisting and serving in a f*g army in a f*g nation. This is the message, you simpletons: fight for a doomed nation, and you will suffer the consequences! These six died as an example for you, that should afterward live ungodly and who would have none of God's reproof. america is doomed."

WHAT AN OUTRAGE not to mention a horrible display of disrespect those men who fought so they have the freedom to do this.

I am a Catholic, and I usually vote Republican, mainly because I vote pro-choice. I do this of my own free will, because I think killing unborn children is more important that taxes, war, or health care. But anyway, I would probably find myself voting Democrat, if they could only get over the Abortion hurdle.

Apparently, Democrats think the choice of a woman to have sex is greater than the choice of a child to not be killed.

But if Guiliani runs, I don't think I could vote for him. I would probably go on to vote for a third party candidate. I know it would be "wasting my vote", but I would actually WANT a Democrat to beat Guiliani, so that the Republicans know to run a pro-life candidate from then on.

Would it be worth it? Should we let the Republican party lose to prove our point? Is it worth 4 years of -shudder- Hillary Clinton???

I was recently diagnosed with an odd infection whose origins niether I or the doctors have been able to trace.

I DO HAVE THAT PEANUT BUTTER WITH THE CODE 2111 ON IT AND I DID EAT IT BEFORE I BECAME SICK.

This disease may be CHRONIC...I might have to deal with this crap for the rest of my life and I am so angry and depressed by it, and to know that some irresponsible company released this junk on me is just too much.

So if anyone is bringing about a class action lawsuit that I can join or that maybe I should start, please let me know.

By the number of questions on the matter I've seen, not to mention exposure out of YQ&A, it seems the belief is widely endorsed.

So, why is it that, in spite of the sixteenth amendment, so many people stilll seem to believe they don't have to file tax returns, or pay income tax... also, how is it you needed a constitutional amendment to hammer the point of taxation (the State needs money to function, and it needs taxes to have money) in?

As a secondary question, is it possible that those who are in this belief share other common points? (conservative republicans, born again/evangelical christians, or whatever)

I have alot of respect for Obama and what he's trying to do, but, when he announced he was going to run for president, he mentioned on his agenda that he will work to "eliminate poverty". How can someone do that? Poverty's been around since the dawn of time. Do you think it's a realistic attempt?

Term limits for legislators would break the cycle of disproportionate representation that some get by having their members of congress on select committees, typically via longevity in the congress and loyalty to (and therefore tenure and stature in) the party. Legislators climb the ladder, which gives their supporters incentive to re-elect them, so that they can plunder the other states in order to “bring home the bacon”. ("We have to keep electing Ted Kennedy because he's on key committees and we'll lose that clout if we elect someone else"). The local constituents and special interests/lobbyists are happy because they get the pork, the candidate is happy because he gets re-elected and his power and ability to dole out favors and government goodies grows, and people are made more dependent upon his favor, which increases his likelihood of re-election, which . . . (you get the picture). Term limits would limit this abuse. Other measures would help, but term limits are a good start.

As America focuses on a 4-year war, China is becoming a significant superpower in the world economy. This is in part due to expanded trade initiatives with impoverished African nations. The beauty of the arrangement is that China benefits by receiving goods at lower costs, while boosting the economy of particular developing nations they trade with. As these relationships grow, so too does Chinas economy. In return, the said African countries become more self sufficient and less dependent on foreign aid. In addition, countries with higher economic standing become less likely to partake in corruption and government breakdown that offers terrorist ideal conditions to exist and train. This quite literally becomes a win-win scenario. Is it time for the US to re-examine its trade policies to encompass new and stronger relations with African countries that can offer our country the same symbiotic relationships? Would you support such a measure and why?

I live in an apartment complex, and for the past week they've been working on the apartment complex next door. They're painting it, using paint thinner and paint, and the strong chemical smell has been wafting into my non-insulated apartment for several days now. I feel like I've been unusually foggy-headed over these past days. Could that by why?
The other complex is run by a different management company, but should I complain about this? (As in "You should've warned the local residents that you were going to be using these chemicals") Is there anything I can do??
I'm really upset about the situation, since the painters told me yesterday that this will be going on for a MONTH! Any advice appreciated... thanks.
