United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 (S/RES/242) was adopted unanimously by the UN Security Council on November 22, 1967 in the aftermath of the Six Day War. It was adopted under Chapter VI of the United Nations Charter. [1] The resolution was framed by Supreme Court Justice Arthur Goldberg and British ambassador Lord Caradon.

It calls for the "withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict" (see semantic dispute) and the "[t]ermination of all claims or states of belligerency." It also calls for the recognition of all established states by belligerent parties (Israel, Egypt, Syria, Jordan) of each other and calls for the establishment of peace and secure and recognized boundaries for all parties.

The Arab states accepted the resolution. However the Israelis and Palestinians rejected it.[2]

It is one of the most commonly referenced UN resolutions in Middle Eastern politics. It has been argued that UNSC 242 has binding force under Article 25 of the UN Charter owing to its incorporation into UN Security Council Resolution 338 and that it is also binding on Israel and the PLO by agreement owing to its incorporation into the Oslo Accords.[3]

Four years ago my husband was pulled over by the cops. They searched his vehicle and found 1/4 an ounce of marijuana. He stopped smoking pot within a few months after that. He went to apply for a job yesterday and they said he may not get hired because of that misdemeanor. What do you all think? Do most places look at things like that when they hire someone? He was 20 at the time he got charged.

Okay, I know that usually in the army you get a "dream sheet" of where you would like to have your first duty assignment...

What are some of the best duty assignments in your opinion (or heard about)?
What duty assignments would you reccomend for someone with a medical MOS (operating room specialist)?

I bounced a check in June 2005 and didn't find out about it until September 2006, I know I know I should have known but somehow I missed it. Anyway, I had a court date in October to take care of it but they asked that I come back in November. The date in November came around and we were out of state at my father-in-law's funeral and the date slipped my mind. Now there is a warrent out for my arrest or missing the court date. Is there anyway to get rid of it due to extenuating circumstances?

during the past 6 years, make Democrats so angry? I mean, partial birth abortions? Who could possibly think that its moral enough to be legal? And reversing Clinton's law that allowed minors to have abortions without parental consent? How in the world could anyone in their right mind say its all right for minors to commit murder while their parents are left in the dark?

maybe you want to get away from the whole "war" thing?

or maybe it's not the same, so it doesn't matter?

or maybe you think it's practice?

or something else entirely... games like halo... gears of war... and others...

(and I'm sure not all do... but I'm looking for more of an "on average" answer)

But I SWEAR I wasn't stealing and my purpose was changing stuff which I didn't have the recede for them..Any way I was charged and and got supervision because the amount was $169..Any way last year I applied for citizenship and my interview was yesterday..I passes the citizenship test with 100 and I speak English really good and I obtained my associate degree last year and currently I am a dentistry student in UIC..But the officer said that the arrest record will cause my application to be denied!! he said because the amount of the merchandises that you took is over $150 so you need to wait 5 more years and apply again..He was sad for me too because he said that I am a good person and I went through this problem,,He said he will talk to his supervisor and give his recommendation for me but he was still not sure if the supervisor will except or no!!! Please tell me here do you think I have any chance to get excepted??? I am really sad and disappointed and don't know what to do..Please any help or advice..Thanks a lot

and you find yourself looking at a stranger dressed in civillian clothes (without you being seen by him), holding a hunting rifle at a window overlooking the route where the Bush jnr presidential cavalcade will soon be passing. Do you raise the alarm or would you ask the stranger if he is comfortable?

As a single woman living alone, I got to thinking that I should have some type of weapon or form of protection around the house just in case something should happen--but here is the thing, I am against guns in a home.

What do you suggest as a weapon/form of protection that is NOT a gun?

The neo-cons initiated a strategy of hate and fear against any who opposed their hate based agenda. They did so under the cloak of being republican. They managed to fool many on both sides of the isle. They don't fool me.
