Has been going on 5 years now. Lost my wallet at the beach, someone found it, is using my information to obtain credit. Has charged nearly $45,000 (yes, even bought a mobile home in my name). I have reported to police and have fraud alerts with the credit agencies now, but still getting collection notices from new creditors. I am in NC, the person that is doing all of this is in Georgia. I have been able to find out who it is that is committing this crime against me and even have address info on him, but don't know where to go from here. I have my own business and this is ruining me because I have to use my social security # when dealing with new vendors, and I'm being declined credit. It is affecting my business and personal life, my whole family. It's becoming a nightmare. He's also used my identity for employment purposes. I know where he is, just need to get to him before any more damage is done to me. I have proof -Does the FBI handle these things-How would I contact them

I live in a small "college town" in Indiana PA. I want to help in making decisions and fighting for families here in this town. Recently, a decision of denial had been made in regards to having a chuck e. cheese placed to where one of our local stores had closed. The reason for the denial is that we're a college town. But, in defense to this, we have 4 elementary schools, 1 high school and 1 small university with less than 10,000 students and without any indoor entertainment for families during the winter months. So, I would like to stand up for the families in this town, and fight to have this decision reconsidered. If not for a Chuck E. Cheese, something similar. So, with all this in mind, I'd like to what committees I should consider joining, and what I have to do to get on that committee.

I mean seriously... I don't want to hear about how "we can still win this", because it doesn't matter if we can still win it if we shouldn't have started the war in the first place. Just keep with it, persistence, don't give up, and by the way if you don't show up with a T-shirt with the Team America flag on it, you'll make the other team think they can beat us.

This is all a bunch of crap. I am tired of hearing politicians talk about "winning" the war, because we don't have anything there to win, only to lose. Let's start talking in terms of creating peace, ending the conflict, whatever, but no more "success" or "winning" because it's NOT a football game and it isn't a just war we can feel proud about winning.

Where does this mindset come from? Why do we use this terminology?

I just had my fingerprints taken for the work permit (temporary - I'll be waiting for the Green Card interview to be scheduled). I should be getting my permit in the mail within the next 4 weeks. Does anyone know for how long are they granted? I won't know the date of interview for next few months, but it should cover the period of time till then? I won't probably get GC till the end of July or August...

a family member lives in a apartment building, is the landlord of the apartment building responsible for putting out salt and removing ice from the steps where his tenants walk at to get inside. He comes to the building everyday and just leave the ice there...you slip and slide all the time. And the worst part about it is. you don’t even have anything to hold on to because that broke off and he just left it instead of fixing it. If someone was to hurt them self due to this. Could he be sued? If so, what type of lawyer handle these cases. And if one of his tenants sue him, do that mean they have to move or can they still live in the building?

We recently voiced our concerns over our foster child stealing several things just before xmas. It seems there are one or two people who have the impression we were out to see her put into jail. Our initial question was the fact that the police had not paid a visit ( and have still not from thursday last 11th jan)
and we would appreciate some advice and similar experiences.
However, let me make sense of this predicament. The child was with us only over the xmas and new year period on a respite basis.
Her s/worker agreed she could spend xmas eve, day and boxing day with her family. We later found the presents, £230 cash and other items missing..we did not inform the police but her s/worker insisted we do as she had committed numerous crimes before and nothing had been done. (One a very serous one involving a severley disabled adult in her own home) We found out that over xmas she had robbed her own grandmother of cash. The child refused to return to us. Does this help?
