It would certainly appear to be a strategy of some sort.
People can always change their minds, but the "Decider?"
Warrants didn't matter to him 30 days ago, but they matter NOW?
Interesting that he also admitted on 60 Minutes that his remark,"Bring them on," was a mistake.
Why should he want to appear fallible at this stage of the game.
Methinks I smell the work of Karl Rove in this........

He has been declawed and defanged by the recent elections. He needs to make some changes to preserve any chance of having any influence on legislation from now on.

Because LIBS whined and through a Hissy Fit........they are more concerned with peoples "rights & feelings" than they are with National Security.
Rest assured if something happens, the LIBS will be the first to cry foul and blame our beloved president for not doing his job.

I don't know why he's doing so - it wasn't illegal the way it was being done before.
Unless they've found another method of doing the same thing, but without offending the tender sensibilities of the unthinking neo-Dems.
