I live in Concord, Ca. and for the past several days inmigration have been going by the schools, and the worst thing is that they are kids from 5 to 12 years of age. I've seen kids crying and they are sad and worried for their parents, a 5 yr. old girl was crying cause she said her mom didn't have a green card and that somebody could take her. I don't think is fair for the kids, they are getting traumatized, if they are going to do this, they should do it, but no close to schools. This few days a lot of kids are not going to school because of this.

I saw a group of British Muslims on CNN demanding that the United Kingdom adopts Shariah law.
An Islamic lawyer also said that if he went to a jungle it did not mean that he would like like the animals. Was he refering to the British legal system as the rule of the jungle?
Is Great Britain going to turn into another Islamic republic? With democracy and the rising number of Muslims in that country at some pointin time that really may be possible.

The Arabs at least will respect the idea of an elite ruling class and the Persians will be excited at the chance of a US Islamic republic.

It is one of the greatest tradgedies in our history-those who died in Vietnam were predominately-poor and middle class kids-we see that with our current leaders-very few went to Vietnam. In regards to the Texas Air National Guard...General Westmoreland (this was before Bush was Pres.) indicated there was a pilot shortage and the 'Champagne Division' was untouchable.......in terms of a possible source to fullfill this shortage. Ya know as much as I don't like Kerry he went..one of the few rich who did..

This is what she said on "The View" this morning:
“Radical Christianity is just as bad as radical Islam in America” and “Don’t fear the terrorists, they are mothers and fathers”

I read here that many of you feel the USA is wrong and we should negotiate with terrorist, before saying such things you should realize that the radical Muslims belives that usless you convert you should die. Should we all convert then.

O.K. We all know Liberals and Conservatives or Democrats and Republicans don't see eye to eye on much if anything. But I want to see how many of each can be nice for just 1 question!
Here's how it goes, Name a Political figure from the opposing side and say at least 1 nice thing about them. NO negatives. Lets see who can put their pride behind them and do this?

I'll go first!!! I am a Conservative/ Independent (I support Bush)
Hilary Clinton> She is good at public speaking.

My son's pedi. doesn't bill their patients (according to the secretary). Upon my visits they try to get me to pay what they think is due at that time. I said to bill me and I will pay. The secretary said the Dr. doesn't send bills and that I get an EOB from my insurance provider (the document that says "This is not a bill" and says what I "May owe the provider"). I said I want a bill. They have provided a year of service and I switched Dr.'s. I have never received a bill and have only paid the co-pay. The last straw was my final visit where they made me sign a document that said I was fully responsible for the remaining cost of vaccinations for my son that insurance doesn't cover. Is this legal? SHould I send a letter requesting a bill for the balance that I am aware of or just wait for them to take action?

WASHINGTON - Democratic leaders in Congress lobbed a warning shot Friday at the White House not to launch an attack against Iran without first seeking approval from lawmakers.
"The president does not have the authority to launch military action in Iran without first seeking congressional authorization," Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid (news, bio, voting record), D-Nev., told the National Press Club.
This week, the administration sent another aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf — the second to deploy in the region. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the buildup was intended to impress on Iran that the four-year war in Iraq has not made America vulnerable. The U.S. is also deploying anti-missile Patriot missiles in the region.

President Bush said last week the U.S. will "seek out and destroy" networks providing that support. While top administration officials have said they have no plans to attack Iran itself, they have declined to rule it out.

If we move our fuel supplies to a corn based alternative. Would that not drive up the cost of corn, and hurt some 3rd world countries that use it as a staple, much like we eat bread? After all it would help Gore-bal Warming.

Wouldn't that give us the numbers of troops we need to secure Iraq and Afghanistan, and solve the immigration problem? (In WWII over a million were used to secure post-war Germany and Japan)

I have many friends in the armed services, and I would be there also if I didn't go directly into a profession after High School.

And contrary to Senator Kerry's belief, my friends that are serving, and I, are from Middle/Upper Middle Class familys and are highly intelligent.
