Is it really true that they are doing that?I used to live by Concord. It sucks that they are doing that especially when there kids are there with them.I don't think that they can go into schools but I know that INS waits within probably like a couple of blocks away from the school and take any one that isn't documented. It reallyis depressing.

If their parents are going to be deported, then it doesn't matter if INS comes to their schools or their houses. The kids are going to cry regardless. The parents should think about this before staying in the country illegally. That is what isn't fair for the kids.

Who are you kidding? The INS will never come into a school. Their hands are so tide legally in what they can do, they can just barely nab a few obvious felonious criminals in the middle of a crime.
THe children of illegals should worry. They should know that to come to America illegally is WRONG. Otherwise what will stop them from being criminals as they become adults?
One way or the other these young people will become people who live in the US. I know their parents are criminal, many are racist in orientation and few seem to have much respect for what it means to be an American in the ideal. The schools are too busy teaching them English to teach them manners or legality.
I recently, due to trash being throw on our streets by children and adult illegals, went to the local elementary school, complained of this and suggested they teach the kids some civics as relates to disposing of trash properly. They amazingly agree/complied and the problem lessend. Now the trash being dumped is from their illegal parents. I actually witness a child correct her mother from dumping trash in the street cuz "it was bad for the environment".
Truth of the matter is, people who work in America should do just that, work. That doesnt' include children. Let them come and work if that is so important. Leave the children back in the old country or don't have any. This approach to children is dead wrong. We should discourage children from being here. As you accurately point out, it is not good for them. And they and their illegal parents are not good for us.

You know that terrorists do the same thing....they hide behind the women and children. If the parents are here illegally, then the children are getting a free education on my tax dollar, and I don't want my money used to educate children of illegals. The can just go back to Mexico on their own or be deported and go to school down there.

Hey Candy -- BOO HOO !!!!
If the parents were not breaking the law,the kids would not be exposed to the consequences of their parent's disregard for Our Laws.
The INS is doing a fine job here.
They have my support.
By the way, I used to live in that cesspool you guys call Concord.

Your mad at the wrong person(s). The parents should be at blame. Why are they here illegally?
They are adults and know the consequences of what could happen to them and their children if they are caught. Simply put they brought this on themsleves(and thier children).
The INS is doing it's job and suggesting that they shouldn't be able to go into schools is just one more way to make a illegals stay easier.

I don't have a problem with them going into elementary schools at all. It's a start, if anything, because our public schools are overflowing with children who probably don't speak fluent English and in the long run it will hurt our American children because they'll have to move at a slower pace. We can't allow our schools to lower their standards to accomodate citizens from another country who don't belong here. Besides, if children are admitting that their parents don't have green cards then it's just another positive step towards fighting this problem. Gotta start somewhere.

I hope not. Immigration should go into the schools and round up the illegal alien parents. After all, the law is the law. Why are you worried about the kids being traumatized? Why are the parents allowed to endanger their children and subject them to the possible trauma of having them taken away? Why are the illegal alien parents allowed to endanger their children by bringing them across the border illegally? Why aren't you worried about children of American Parents who break the law being traumatized? Why aren't you worried about American Children being exposed to children who have no respect for our laws and are being taught to ignore our laws and that it's okay for their parents to break our laws? That is not giving American law-abiding children exposure to proper behavior. It is actually exposing our children to juvenile delinquency and law-breaking and aiding and abetting criminals. It's teaching our children that breaking laws is okay if a bunch of people can garner enough sympathy. That's not the kind of education I want my children to have. I want them to understand that the law is the law and it is not okay to break the law if you disagree with it and that there is and should be punishment for breaking the law and the law should be applied equally to everyone. The law should not discriminate.

I think immigration should concentrate on apartment buildings and parking lots they will find all of the illegal adults that way, I am not sure if it is right to do this in schools, but I am happy that something is finally getting done to help solve the problems of illegal immigration, it isn't the childs fault that the parents are criminals, I think they should focus on the grown ups.
