Any country can become a superpower if they posess the military might and technology to do so.
A city state known as Rome possessed a vast empire.
A small island nation know as Britian did the same.

Yes but, do you mean the level of what USA is today? (By the year 2020 India would have achieved some higher status than what it is today but,USA would have attained a different status by 2020, at which India could not match.)
When? May be after 50 Years.
How? By developing the skill of our manpower to a higher level.
What Way? By dedicated service of our citizens
Which Person can do that? All our citizens can do it collectively.

Yes you can. your country is already on the way to becoming a super power. i predict that at the current rate of indian development they will be a superpower within 150 years. this is if the oil does not run out. the foundation for a country to be a superpower are
1. the majority of the population have to make 10% more money in wages than the amount of money they have to spend to survive. currently this is not happening, but in 150 years it will be so.
2. the borders have to be secure. rebel groups must be destroyed.
3. there must be new ideas and inventions. ideas are worth money.
4. education. everyone must know how to read, write, and do numbers.
5. property. everyone must have the opportunity to buy property. property shouldnt be taken from one person to give to another, but people should have the option to pay for and own land. their ownership must be respected by the government and protected by laws.
6. production. a country must produce all its own food and building materials.
if these things happen, a country will grow prosperous.

Militarily, it will take India fifty years to get to the point that China is at, let alone the US or Russia. India is better off being someones reliable ally, someone that will protect India in the event of a foreign aggression from someone like Pakistan or Iran.

Yes, We are almost in verge of that.
I was talking about International Terrorism with an Palestinian. We came into conclusion that Many of things in Gulf is done by America to have control over Oil.
I instantly told him if America is all this nonsense then somebody will teach them a lesson someday.
Palestinian replied calmly "may be India". This is straight opinion of a non-Indian and it shows what ppl expect from us and where we could be in coming days.

Not until they are willing to provide greater equity and equality among it's citizens. And opportunity for folks there is nil unless you have $ or some status to begin with. A Super Power, in my opinion, needs the support and cooperation of it's citizens, not just the privileged few. Notice the irony here?

Probably not within anytime in the near future. Though India is speedily increasing in economic growth, it doesn't have the economic, social, and military strength that is characteristic of one.
Until this point the only two superpowers has been the US and the USSR (Which is now dissolved).
If any country now has the potential to do it in the near future, it's China.

Of course they can. All it takes is them getting sufficently technologically advanced. China rose from third world status to a superpower. I'm sure india could do it too.

It is possible. the leaders in the country would have to make many changes, the military would need revamping, and the people would have to stop treating a large part of their population like they were born slaves.
