That wouldn't really be effective. What we need to do is initiate a torture system. If pedophiles were to have what they did read to them and tortured twice a day, others would think twice before committing a crime. Most murders don't really care too much about the death penalty. They feel that you can only kill them once and quickly. Tortured twice a day for 25 year sentence, I guarantee crime will go do in this country.

Rehabilitation does not work for them, they'll go back to their old ways. Why not leave it up to prison justice. Inmates take crimes aginast children very seriously, because in their own eyes, it was their child/ren that was hurt by the person, not someone elses. They don't care how much time is left for them in prison, or how much time can be added.

I figure, since they are going to do it anyway, might as well let the inmates handle the pedophiles. Its cheaper for the tax payers, and it frees up more room in the prisons.

The only thing that public executions would be good for is for the ones that go to prison and pc (protective custody) up because they are scared of what will happen to them if they are with the general population.

Even if people vote to bring back public executions, it won't happen because there is an amendement in the consitution which forbids cruel and unusual punishment.

Considering the recidivism rate they have I'd not object to their being executed. Whether or not it should be make public that would need debate.

For those of you who want to feed and house them forever. YOU pay for it. We'll turn them all over to you .

For those who wish a truely violent death for them that takes a long time. Might I suggest something involving being drug behind a 18 wheeler on a cross country trip or ants and honey if the previous suggestion is too quick.

Yes.
Tie them naked in a burlap sack and drag them behind a truck over a cobblestone road.
Then beat them with reeds for 2 1/2 hours.
Then pour hot saltwater in their open wounds.
Then stitch their wounds with a dull needle, dental floss and no Novocain
The put them in a prison shower in a "prone" position for 5 hours.
Then, brand their genitalia with a hot poker.
Then ram a icepick through each of their joints. Fingers and toes included.
Finally, let them bleed to death while Wolves urinate on them and eat their rotting flesh.
Then crush their bones and repave L.A. with thier millings.

I know that sounds tame, but it's only a start.

They now have laws., at least in FLorida, that heavily penalize inmates who harm sex offenders so the old prison rule is out because no one wants to risk doubling their time, etc. So I think vigilantism is probably the last hope--and educating our children not to fall victim. And prosecute the people who cover for these sickos by acting like they dont' know what's going on because they are afraid of the embarassment for themselves!

First off there is the appeal process, they just may be innocent. But once they gone through the process, after they lost all the appeals then just take them out and shoot them. I feel the same way with everyone who received the death penalty.

Why should we waste time with a final meal, etc. Spend $0.15 on a bullet, bang. Done.

Curse You, Evil Pedophiles!

Yeah, 'cause that really shows what a dignified, civilized society we are.

I mean, the death penalty is one thing, but some of this other stuff is absolutely sick. If we're going to kill and torture these criminals, how is that different from Saddam Hussein killing and torturing people? It's not.

Lock them up. Saying you don't want to pay taxes to feed and house criminals, so we should execute them instead, is basically saying "I'm greedy and want MY money for myself and I don't care if people die so I can have it!"

What if you were wrongfully accused? The justice system isn't perfect.

In cases of extreme or prolonged violations, yes, they should be executed. Why should society harbor and protect the rights of those guilty of such atrocities against innocent children?

Since they cannot be rehabilitated, even with chemical castration (they just molest in other ways) i feel they get off WAY too easy. I don't know about public execution but permanent jail is necessary.
