If we move our fuel supplies to a corn based alternative. Would that not drive up the cost of corn, and hurt some 3rd world countries that use it as a staple, much like we eat bread? After all it would help Gore-bal Warming.

Ethanol is nothing more than a farm giveaway. Liberals will never be happy until we walk again.

Actually the corn used in making ethalnol is not meant for human consumption. After the corn is used to make the ethanol the byproduct can be used as feed for cattle. Corn isn't the only grain that can be used for making ethanol, rice, wheat, even molasas is used for making ethanol.

IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED! Tortilla prices in Mexico have tripled! The poor people are complaining about not having enough food.

Kinda ironic that this was the liberals idea, isn't it? Imagine what will happen if we actually use ethanol as a fuel.

We don't use much of our corn crop as is. I don't see it driving the costs of corn up. There are many other ways to make ethanol besides corn.
