the adoptive mother (the paternal grandmother) had a stroke 3 yrs ago and is paralyzed on the right side of her body (65 yrs old). The grandfather and the two minor children were injured in a house on 12/26. The grandfather is in critical condition (68 yrs old). The father's family (my ex in-laws) are refusing to allow me to visit my daughters in the hospitals. I have been in their lives for the last 3 yrs. It's a long, confusing story. I have my business law exam tommorow, we have been given one question in advance, but Im a bit confused about it.

It is that two people have made an agreement where one of them (a singer) performs two comback concerts.
The first concert takes place, but the backing group provided (who in the agreement were stated as 'skilled') were not extremely good according to the singer.
The singer then stated that he would not perform his second concert if he did not get the proffessional backing group, the company did not want to spend extra money on this so canceled the contract saying the singer was in breach.

What Im confused about is, is the singer in breach of contract just by saying he wont perform, or does he actually not have to perform the concert to be in breach of it?

I thought he would not be in breach of contract which meant that the company cannot cancel the contract under rescission?

Thanks for any help here!

And why are the six men who are on trial at the moment getting a trial because they are clearly guilty and the court costs could go to fighting terrorism. It is ridiculous. What if those bombs had gone off???????

We had a friend kill himself over the weekend. He evidently shot himself with a shotgun. They declared it a suicide because when he was found rigor mortis had set in and the gun was still in his hand. I am hardly a gun expert, it has been years since I have hunted or shot any shotguns or rifles. But I dont understand how he could successfully shoot himself and still have the gun firmly in his hands. (kick back etc) I hate to sound paranoid about it but this just isnt what you would expect of this guy. I talked to him hours before it happened. His girlfriend is kind of a head case - said she never heard a thing, found him in the morning. Our police department is more like Barnie Fife central. Could he really have done this to himself????

We can all name 3 - 20 countries that have had civil war between a rebel group and a group that relates to whoever has been in power that has killed hundreds of soldiers and hundreds of civilians. The media only ever reports on the death-counts, never on the causes, issues & motives. But what are the best suggestions for negotiators to make that can bring peace and end the war?

I just think most of the people who complain about America are really just doing this just to sound cool and be a part of the F*ck America bangwagon. Im not American, Im Iranian (living in the US) and i dont see whats so bad what America is doing. We Iranians are doing horrible things. Are crazy president Ahmadinejad is crazy he denies the holocaust. He doesnt deserve to lead a nation. Anyone who choose Ahmadinejad over Bush is mentally insane. Bush is no where as bad as Saddam or Ahmadinejad. Frankly I think Bush is a good strong leader who doesnt believe in losing.

I remember Bill Clinton talking about having his administration “Look” like America, meaning it was going to have diversity. Of course he didn’t back that up at all. George Bush gets elected to the office and the number 3 and 4 positions in his administration go to African Americans, Colin Powell and Condoleezza rice. When Colin Powell retired as Secretary of State, Bush promoted within and gave the job to the best-qualified person, Condoleezza Rice. President Bush has not only included minorities in his administration he has given them important, powerful positions in his cabinet. Yet all we hear is “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”. Can someone explain to me why if an African American is a conservative they are derided and labeled an “Uncle Tom” a sellout, etc, etc. Condoleezza Rice is a brilliant, she went to college at the age of 15, she taught at Stanford yet she is depicted as a ignorant subservient sellout by the left.

America now thinks that the use of torture is just a peachy keen thing to do.

America now thinks that it's just fine if the government wants to wire tap our homes.

America now thinks that it's OK to raise the maximum age to enter the military to 41.

America now thinks that it is un-American to re-institute the draft!

America now thinks that it's OK to run around in foreign countries, embedded in death squads.

America now thinks that the more civilians you murder, the better for publicity.

America now thinks it is OK for a president to take young Americans to war over a pack of lies.

What lows will America stoop to under this shrub?
