do you think president tom of iran is using hugo's distaste for the US against him? bottom line is that hugo is not muslim either and may pres tom is manipulating him for whatever reason, like world power.

tis is not questioning their intelligence, maybe their sanity,but rather each others end game. how would that relationshipship fare if the US were not a common foe? i got to think at some point religion comes into play, with iran anyway. sort of how hitler played a few of his "friends".

Don't ever assume that these guys are not intelligent. Crazy, yes, intelligent, yes. By banding together, they have much more leverage than by coming at the west separately. Chavez will climb into bed with anyone he thinks will help his POV no matter how skewed his view may be. What their ultimate goal is, I imagine it includes the destruction of America as a big step along the way.

hugo chaves is pretty brilliant imo ... i doubt anyone is manipulating him ... that seems to be the main issue with chavez, that is, that he will not bend to american pressure ...
