I remember Bill Clinton talking about having his administration “Look” like America, meaning it was going to have diversity. Of course he didn’t back that up at all. George Bush gets elected to the office and the number 3 and 4 positions in his administration go to African Americans, Colin Powell and Condoleezza rice. When Colin Powell retired as Secretary of State, Bush promoted within and gave the job to the best-qualified person, Condoleezza Rice. President Bush has not only included minorities in his administration he has given them important, powerful positions in his cabinet. Yet all we hear is “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”. Can someone explain to me why if an African American is a conservative they are derided and labeled an “Uncle Tom” a sellout, etc, etc. Condoleezza Rice is a brilliant, she went to college at the age of 15, she taught at Stanford yet she is depicted as a ignorant subservient sellout by the left.

"Black people look at the policies of the Administration and they don't like what they see." Give me an example? I am not trying to be a jerk I am seriously trying to understand.

I saw a clip of the Reverand Martin Luther King on "Meet the Press" yesterday. He talked about the civil rights movement needed to keep its optimism, its postive outlook. Otherwise it would degenerate into a nihilistic self serving group that caused disruption for the sake of disurption.
Calling Jesse Jackson.

White males are 40 percent of the population, making them a minority. Do you think Republicans hate them? The white males seem to feel that they do. But white females make up slightly more than 40 percent and yet we're all expected to believe that Republicans are part of some invisible and secret 'war on women' so do you think Republicans hate them? What minority do you give special minority status to exactly? What are your qualifications for "a party of hate"? Democrats openly hate white males, Christians, Southerners and everyone living in a state that voted for Republicans. Are they not the party of hate? Do you think it might be possible that your question is intentionally biased in an effort to make Democrats seem good and Republicans seem bad, despite the evidence to the contrary? Republicans freed the slaves. Democrats formed the Klan. Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Democrats filibustered it. Check your facts. Your own hate has skewed your vision.

Politics in this country is divided up into 2 groups. Democrats & Republicans. Recently they have tried to split that up a bit more and call some of each group conservative, moderate, and liberal. The basic premise for political power is how much support you can receive with votes and with money. Thus each party courts whole segments of the population in an attempt to garner their ongoing loyalty support and money. They tell'em anything they want to hear and truly do not have to back it up, because people don't look deeper than the surface propaganda. Republicans strategized that the money was in the hands of a select few and therefore their issues were prioritized in order to gain their loyalty. Democrats reasoned that the majority of people in this country were poor and middle class so they have courted that segment. It has little to do issues at this point because the lines in the sand have long since been drawn. When it comes to religion and politics, People usually never align themselves with anything other than what their parents are.
Still to this day(as is also evident in the comments here) people only see the parties in terms of one is for wealthy, one is for the impoverished. This could not be further from the truth, but most people will never look past their preconceived notions.
Anytime a republican President is elected, minorities immediately assume he is racist and filter out any evidence to the contrary, and will look at any democratic President as fair and evolved in his views, and likewise filter out any evidence to the contrary.
It's about time we move away from the 2 party monopoly and get some real choice in politics. It's about time people started digging deeper and looking at the facts as an indication of a candidates value. It's about time we started thinking for ourselves and stop allowing our parents and the MEDIA to influence our decision making. It's about time we grew up.

The problem and many will not like my answer is ignorance when you have a 40% African-American high school drop out rate ignorance is rampant, and it is easily to fool people that are less educated and can't see the bigger picture. When you say that you are going to cut welfare many African-Americans sees that as a assault on them because of ignorance, but it actually helps them because anything that makes you less dependent on government is a plus.
That is fundamental reason the Democrats like our education system the way it is they will never admit this, because they know it is easier to manipulate the uneducated. I have open a lot of African Americans eyes who follow the democrat party they may not change parties but they start thinking and can't refute my arguments.

Prob because a lot of Americans are tired of having their rights infringed upon......The average American can have a terrorist charge slapped on them for Jay Walking. I know that access to our rivers, lakes have been closed due to the almighty republicans.....most of todays kids growing up just drive around burning up gas late at night because they have nothing better to do. I see these republican coming back from Church tossing their trash out their windows as they drive down the road, and on their way to church, they will try to run over a person, speeding while talking on their cell phones, and at the same time lookin in the mirror putting their makeup on.

Bush doesnt agree with minorities. He doesn't know what minorities want. He knows how to piss minorities off. Minorities usually are not big on rednex. Bush had minorities at his number 3 and 4 positions huh? You forgot about his cook and his maid.
