Yes, absolutely!
Non smokers are sick of you inconsiderate smokers. The smoke stinks along with you and everything you go near, when will you ever figure that out? Plus you dump your butts anywhere you happen to be. I wonder how many fires have been caused by smokers tossing burning cigarettes out car windows. If you could smoke without bothering other people, which is possible, nobody would care, but that's not the case. Especially in closed areas, restraurants etc., everybody around you is silently gagging. Add to that your health bills we all have to help pay for, plus the government subsidies to the tobacco industry. Inconsiderate isn't a bad enough word for you folks.

I agree with every aspect of the law with the exception of bars,I feel that club owners should be able to choose if they want smoking or non-smoking in their clubs, but as for everywhere else i agree non-smoking and I am a smoker but all those around have the right to clean air!!

Short answer, no the law should not tell me where I can smoke. Long answer, anyone who thinks my rights should be taken away because you don't agree with my choice needs to settle down. I'm sure I can find one thing you do that you like, such as your cup of coffee or tea in the morning, or that snack you have when you're supposed to be on a diet. How about I tell you you can't have that anymore because I don't like it? It's not about the smoking. We all know its bad for everyone, so stop beating a dead horse. The issue is my RIGHT to smoke and your RIGHT to not breathe it and it's real simple: I don't smoke around non-smokers. Ask any of my friends and they will tell you I follow this courtesey.

Personally, I think smoking is gross and nasty, but I think you should have the right to smoke. But, and this goes hand and hand, a business owner should have the right to ban smoking if he/she wants. The gov, shouldn't get involved. However, I shouldn't have to pay for your health care costs when you have black lung and emphysema. If you smoke, you should pay for your own health care costs, not me (via state and federal insurance - medicare and medicaid).

I am all for it! No offense, but I really don't want to have to sit in a resturant and not be able to enjoy my food because someone is smoking, and if 2nd hand smoking is as bad as they say it is, I don't want to be near it!

The same as I feel about the fat ban . Over weight nasty smelling fat people in public .Sweeting when they walk from the car to my grocery store ,dripping foul smelling sweet and releasing odors that offend my nose .
If they fall on me I will be seriously damaged .
They take up so much space in a theater seat that the fat bubbles over into my space .
They weight more and should pay a higher rate when flying .
Airline tickets should charge by weight .When we all weighted about the same it did not bother me but now so many fat people are flying it is bound to affect the fuel costs . They should sell tickets by weight is all I am saying .
Fat people , smokers its all the same to normal people who respect our bodies . If how you live affects me then you need to stop or be prevented by law from doing it .
Another thing is airline bars and drunk people on planes . They fart more and in general are obnoxious . We need so many laws to fix the wrongs people are doing .
Screw freedom when people act like animals . They have no rights at all as far as I am concerned .

Yes, I think they should be allowed to tell you where to smoke!
I never did get that about smokers. I used to be a smoker, so don't go flipping out like I'm trying to act holier than thou!
But I never had the desire to light up in the middle of a restaurant after dining or in the middle of eating, disturbing nonsmokers around me and their comfort levels, I would either go outside the door of the place and light one up, get in my car to leave and light up one, or wait until I got to my home to do it in my place where it wouldn't have been affecting anyone else besides my health/heart/lungs.
It isn't going to kill smokers to wait until they're in their own car to stink it up, or in their own homes to smell up their own furniture, clothes, hair, etc.

Why should people be forced to smell/breathe in your smoke? Sure you can smoke wherever you want as long as nobody else is around.
