lol the EU is nothing more than a building block to join with the north anmerican union ,the asia union and the africa union to creat world government the whole thing is a sham and the eu is just a stepping stone .
so anser to your question in a hundred years time the EU wont exist , it probably wont exist in 10 years time , and world government is end game its not good by the way.

EU will not as much stretch as it wil change. It will even more become a capitalist, right-winged state. Socialism and state property-businesses will not exist anymore. A shame. At best, EU should be destroyed. It's all for the money and the people don't count anymore. Privatisation lowers the quality of the services and raises the price of those low quality services, making them only affordable for the rich. Competition my @rse. The rich get richer and the poor poorer.

As a reader of Science Fiction, one of the major themes is a united Earth under one Government. I like to think of the EU as a sort of experiment or a seed for this process. All it would take is a change of name. Have you noticed how neutralmost of the policies are and that nations still maintain their independence to act but are then specifically at odds. Politicians are not Stupid in fact thay are the opposite. Ever heard of 5 Year plans, well try 50 year plans, 100 year plans. But also allow for the flexability of responding to current events.
All hail planet EARTH!!!!

I mean the Germans and the French (natuarally) are allready looking at the fire exits in Brussels and who can blame them.
Hoist by their own petard I think.

I agree that it has reached its limits and has begun to dissolve.
It wont last another 10 years much less a hundred. Many countries are disenchanted with it as it is .

well, it clearly can't be called the EU if it includes countries outside of europe, so therefore must only be able to expand to encompass all the countries in Europe!
