But take away their rights to play poker on the internet - and its okay.

Remind me again - WHICH is the party of the "nanny government"?

Seems to me I've lost more rights in the last six years than in the previous eight.

Can calls over networks such as Skype and Vonage be subject to wiretaps (legals taps for which a warrant has been issued or illegal taps such as those currently being carried out by the CIA in violation of FISA or dubious programs, such as UKUSA's ECHELON)? Is this technologically possible?

I've told the landlord that for dec 2006 i will be using the security money and i'll move out in jan. now i called this woman and she's saying she's taking me to court for non payment for dec and jan 2007?. She's saying I never told her about me having a husband in the house after 7 months later. And that my husband dog messed up the front porch. i've just called her asking her where is the court at ? She said she don't know, call the courts and find out. But she told me what day and time though. Since she applied for the the landlord tenant crap, she should know which court she applied to. And she hung up in my face.I don't owe her any rent for Dec. Jan. 2nd i moved out. I've never recieved no summons or court letters for my appt. I've never signed a lease or anything with her. If i don't go since i don't know where it is, you think they'll put a warrant on me? I' 8 mths pregnant, i can't walk around town to town like that. I don't drive. What is up with her?

Vice President Dick Cheney asserted that lawmakers' criticism will not influence Bush's plans and he dismissed any effort to "run a war by committee."

"The president is the commander in chief. He's the one who has to make these tough decisions," Cheney said

Washington - The senior Pentagon official in charge of military detainees suspected of terrorism said in an interview this week that he was dismayed that lawyers at many of the nation's top firms were representing prisoners at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and that the firms' corporate clients should consider ending their business ties.

The comments by Charles D. Stimson, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for detainee affairs, produced an instant torrent of anger from lawyers, legal ethics specialists and bar association officials, who said Friday that his comments were repellent and displayed an ignorance of the duties of lawyers to represent people in legal trouble.

"This is prejudicial to the administration of justice," said Stephen Gillers, a law professor at New York University and an authority on legal ethics. "It's possible that lawyers willing to undertake what has been long viewed as an admirable chore will decline to do so for fear of antagonizing important clients

In September, 2006, the "port security act" was passed.

SNEAKED into that act, was yet another Bushbot law that says I can no longer play poker!

And Bush is supposed to be a Texan.

I am 43 years old. Don't I have the right to play a harmless game of skill if I want to?

Is this another pathetic attempt to blame the US for more deaths? I just read an AP article saying that preteen and young teens hung themselves after watching Saddam’s hanging. How many kids hang themselves on purpose or otherwise usually in a year? I had a friend who accidentally hung himself when we were kids.

What is even more suspect? I read this same headline link a week or so ago but when I followed it, it was just a story about Saddam’s execution then they changed it.

I am generally not for the death penalty in the US because it is unfairly applied, but Iraq is a sovereign country and I support their legal decisions. But it is crazy to blame the US for his execution, let alone blaming the US for these kids hanging themselves… This is just another example of Leftist, Anti-American media controlled propaganda.

Did children really hang themselves after watching on TV? I saw a lot of stuff on TV I never did...
