Illegal is an incorrect term. In our system of law, only what has been explicitly forbidden by law is illegal, everything else is perfectly legal.

There is no law that explicitly forbids entry into the United States, there are a myriad of laws that REGULATE the entry into this country, so the correct way to refer to people that failed to follow established legal procedure for entry is UNDOCUMENTED, since in order for somebody to become 'illegal' there would have to be a law that they have actively broken. That is not the case, by being in the US without having followed the proper legal procedure for entry they are UNDOCUMENTED not illegal.

Most undocumented people in the US come from America, you should know that the recipe for 'Carne Asada' is as much a piece of Americana as the Argentinian Gaucho. BTW the term 'Americana' comes from the time of Colonial America when Spain controlled most of America, back then there were new traditions being created, in order to differentiate the new American traditions from the old European ones the Americans would refer to them as 'Tradicion Americana' (American Tradition) as supposed to 'Tradicion Europea'. After the United Statesian-Mexican war the term 'Tradicion Americana' was passed into the United Statesian lingo and the word 'Tradicion' (Tradition) was dropped, leaving only Americana. Although in the US the term 'Americana' extensively means 'United Statesian' in the rest of America the term retains it's original meaning, 'American' as supposed to European.

I enjoy carne asada because it's marinated and has more flavor than just a steak.
