i don't mean to offend anyone but i think that's complete bs. i absolutely disagree with the basis for, and continuation of the war. however i will support the troops until every last one of them comes home. i come from a military family and i've always had respect for them, but it doesn't mean that i have to like war. i understand that it reads like an oxymoron, and maybe it is in some way, but supporting them as a person doesn't necessarily have to do with politics.

I know Mexico receives foreign aid from us but does its government in turn help others, especially those countries of other continents? Does it accept refugees from war-torn areas of Africa or disaster-affected areas of the Far East? Are there humanitarian organizations there that help world hunger, disease, environmental causes, etc.?

Background - I was arrested for DUI in August. My lawyer filed a motion to suppress the evidence based on the grounds that the arresting officer mis-cited me. The court denied the motion to suppress the evidence based on the fact that even though the officer may have mis-cited me, he had probable cause to make the arrest. The court also said that I did essentially "pass" the field tests, but that the "totality" of the situation warranted the arrest. My lawyer has since said that he believes we can appeal the decision based on case law, but that there may be other cases that could "torpedo" the appeal. It also depends on the jury panel drawn. My question is if anyone knows details about this type of situation, their experiences, or any recommendations on how to proceed. Also, the appeal fee for my lawyer is $1400 - 1500 plus 400-500 for the cost of the transcript.

I was given a summons to appear in court, For a loan that i haven't started paying yet because the man i was supposed to pay back closed the account i was supposed to make payments in, I have a restraining order against him so i wasn't about to make contact w/him, even though i wanted to start paying him off! Anyway, the man that was taking me to court never showed up! So the Judge dismissed it, how does that work and can the man actually get another summons for this particular case?
