More info is needed. What kind of harassment? Is it sexual or what? Are you working for the company or is it just some company that is harassing you?

There are laws to protect you. If you don't work for the company and they are calling you, put your name on the do not call list available through the internet. I don't think that is the problem though. If it is the company you work for, call legal aid and ask for help. If they can't help you, they can refer you to someone who can help you.

Another thing you have to keep in mind. You may get good advice and go through the proper channels to get this resolved but you may lose your job over it. That is against the law but unfortunately, it happens. So start looking at what jobs are available out there. Even if you don't need it and don't want it, it can't hurt you, only help. You never know...you might find something better.

Good luck, I know this isn't fun.

If they're harassing you for an unpaid bill...go to: www.clarkhoward.com/topics/
drop_dead_letter.html
Send that letter to the company that is harrassing you.

Clark Howard is a consumer advocate who hosts a syndicated "consumer rights" radio show from Atlanta.

♥ First of all that is not right of them to harrass you. You need to do something about this. Or at least talk to them and see what there deal is. Maybe you did something to them and did not realize it. And.. can you please add more details so we know and can answer it with our best knowledge.

You don't give enough details to come up with a definitive answer. But you could contact the Attorney General's office in the state where you live for at least some sort of answer.

If it is a collection agency write them a letter telling them to "cease and desist any further communications" (they have to by law leave you alone). If it is a company you owe money to directly write THEM a letter denying the debt, they can not then turn it over to a collector (by law), but they can then sue you.
Always keep it in writing, always keep copies... Know your rights under the law... most people don't.

You did not give the reason for the harrassment. Are they bill collectors?
